Got a couple of questions for you experts. I've been playing around with some rim ideas. I'm concerned about the wheels I'm looking at sticking out past my fenders...which is what I DO NOT want. I've got a base model, so no fender flares either.

    American Racing:
    16x8, 4.5 inch backspacing, 0 offset.

    Pro Comp Rock Crawlers:
    15x7, 2.5 inch backspacing
    16x7, 4 inch backspacing

According to a chart I found at https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html#backspace that puts the off set on the 16x7 Pro Comps at 0. The chart doesn't go low enough to measure the 2.5 inch backspacing on the 15x7, but it's certainly in the negative range.

I'm looking at a 235/70 tire with the 15 inch wheel or a 235/65 if I go with the 16.

So....fellas and gals....what's going to keep me within the stock fenders on a base truck?

Thanks for any help and pix. :)

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
They might stick out without the flares though.

Ok, so you may wanna go the pizza cutter route to avoid the tires sticking out.

Yeah...that's what I was afraid of. Looks like anything around a 0 offset is going to stick out some in that 7-8 inch width. It's just with this being a 2wd street truck I don't want that look.

Damn...looks like I may have to go back to more care-like specs....which means not much selection that I like. :(
