Oh yeah... I've had people open my doors and then ask me how old my car was and when I told them, they wouldn't believe me. Makes a huge difference. And yes, after driving on salted roads, I use the lawn sprinkler under my vehicles too. Just started that a couple years ago after reading it on a message board.

I prefer the hair of a Unicorn's mane. Leaves my paint glittery!

Ive never taken a vehicle to the car wash and never will for this exact reason. I dont trust people with my vehicles and car wash workers usually dont know how to properly clean and protect a vehicle.
Really sorry to see this happened!

There are many who have posted in this thread that feel very strongly about vehicle paint.

I take great pride in cleaning/detailing my vehicle. After all, it's mine, and I enjoy having nice things.

I also take pride in getting that nice thing very dirty in the most creative manner possible.

And the cleaning and detailing bit is, to me, a good way to have a beer and wind down.

The scratches really aren't that bad..in fact, they add character. If I was mad about it tho, I'd have them try to fix it and hold them accountable for the damages.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Can we start a thread about "Quotable Quotes of 2016" and put this one first?

Daww, cmon now. He's young. Plus - I still think my father gives the best advice and I'm 30, so who can fault him for that?

Side note- When I was his age I was driving a 1990 Volvo 760 turbo station wagon with 200k miles. If I wanted stereo sound I'd have to bang my fist on the center column - the harder the hit, the longer I had a working right channel. That was also my first speeding ticket: 120 in a 45. Ah to be young and dumb again.
