A couple pics with the canopy deployed from earlier today.. It's super solid and seems very stable from what I can tell so far. Set up in less than 5 minutes by myself, if I had another hand no more then 2 minutes.. Super easy. Can't wait until I get to use it for real, hopefully soon enough. :D

Interested in how you mounted your awning to Zach's rack; do you have some close up pics of it? We'll be mounting a Foxwing to ours.

I have a roof basket attached to Zach's rack, and the awning is attached to the basket side bars/rails with (2) Fourtrek's modular awning mounts from Purefjcruiser.com.. I don't have a close up pic of the mounting points but will try to get one up ASAP. Can't quite find a good close up pic of the rear side of the foxwing awning that mounts to the roof but it looks similar to the ARB. Not sure if it's the same trac system however.. The foxwings look pretty sweet for sure, have a lot of coverage area. Good choice!

That's ok, thanks for the input. The Foxwing has two rail slots for bolts; we'll get it figured out I'm sure. Sweet looking setup BTW!

If I already have a Baja rack, will the rails you build be what I need to put the rack on top of my cab?

Bajaracks should bolt right to your cab already.

They never really specified, but Baja racks makes Baja baskets under the name of "Baja rack". The baskets don't mount direct. I think what he meant to ask was whether your rack is readily Baja basket mountable.

I am unfamiliar with the "baja basket" but the racks I now sell are a complete low profile platform rack, you could easily bolt a basket to it but it would be redundant. My racks are shown below. The ones in this thread were the beginning of the development stages.

Yeah what @techride said. I wasn't sure how to word it. I need something that I can attach the Baja basket to and I don't want to buy the flimsy OEM track system.

This is what I find when I search for baja basket, is this what you have?

I don't have it yet, but I'm most likely buying a rack from a guy on TW similar to this one. He said it was made to fit in the OEM rail system

If I were you I wouldn't get it unless you already have a way to mount it. If you but the basket and then have to buy something else to mount it to you are going to be into it the cost of a full rack that just bolts to the roof, not to mention the basket with the OEM rack is going to be much weaker.
