I have the drill press & taps at home but no band saw or belt sander.
It could be cut with a grinder & a cutoff wheel. Then use the grinder & a flap wheel to smooth it all out.

 

Yea having the right tools always helps with any project. It's fun when we can use are brains and improvise and McGyver stuff. You did a nice job.

 

you put the bolts in when you install so you "built it"

 

@Scooter WCT bought one, broke his trail harness before install, he gave it to me for free. Did you hear about the free tool box story?

 

Thanks! Yeah I like making my own stuff when possible, I also made mounts in the bed for my hi-lift jack & a cb antenna mount which is nothing major but whatever I can make saves me money.

 

didn't you make your lightbar mount as well?

 

Yeah but that was just a couple pieces of flat metal bent into an "L".

 

I broke my trailer harness off years ago. it is now zip tied to the bumper. walla all of about 5cents worth of material and i can move it and flip it up if i want. I did the whole install by myself while drinking a beer in my driveway. took about 5 minutes. redneck injenering at it's finest

i bet lol, this is his first time...and it's kicking into high gear lol. it still looks like there is fur that needs to be plucked haha, even after 15min of just brushing him

 

Dude it never ends. I thought my two ding dongs would be bald by now.

 

it's insane lol, every like 2 or 3 days I have to vacuum...and I have to empty the damn thing out 3 almost 4 times to get only 80% or so of the house XD
