Take snow over ice any day! Knoxville tn is a sheet of ice, watched two big rigs get tangled up because of stupidity and not listening to the cb. Y'all be safe and slow down.

    Morning, 50ers ! I bet we could beat the 49ers !

Looks like the forecast of 12 to 24 inches has been updated to 18 to 24 inches. So much for my wish of just 12 inches of snow.

I guess our stupid f'n electric company is preparing for the storm. I've had four electrical blips/outages since 10 o'clock last night. That's wonderful for the electronic devices in the house. Calm night and morning, wind is nearly nonexistent.

we also lost power consistently until the power co. hired a tree service, who came in and trimmed all around the power lines. Oh then they raised our rates!!

funniest thing was, after 4 days of no power, the company is in my neighbors yard working, when one of the dead beat residents in that house came out and started to give the employees shit, well I jumped 2 fences and got right up into the doods face and escorted him back into the house and promptly got a standing O from the tree service and electrical workers! twernt there fault it took 4 days, so why give them shit?? punks

    Good morning everyone!

Even just seeing the weather forecast back there brings back images of convoys of bucket trucks coming from different States, some pretty far away. I think anyone ignorant enough to give those guys a hard time should have to spend at least a few hours in the snow and wind doing what they do. They'd be singing a different tune after some time in the bucket getting battered by the weather.

Good morning Rob  Hope all is well with you and the family. Woke up late last night and thought something was wrong. After a few minutes realized the furnace finally shut off! 20 ABOVE zero here now, going to the high but it feels almost balmy now LOL.

 fiftys. Battening down for the snow here too. Don't get me started about the power companies though - "deregulation" destroyed them, and now they all suck. It's so bad around here that our power is out for 1/2 day every time some doofus clips a power pole. Oops there I go.

Anyway I'll be filling up the gas cans and giving the generator and snow blower quick checks. We're in line for about a foot of the white stuff.
