I've been looking at rural-country acreage. It gets tiresome after living in a resort town for 25 years. But, my wife is a city chick, getting her to move away from the in town conveniences at our age is probably a futile effort. :(

You'd be surprised at how quickly you get used to the silence! All we hear are cows, horses, and the occasional coyote. We're 20 minutes away from the edge of Louisville and about 40 minutes away from downtown. 10 minutes to the local grocery store, Taco Bell, liquor store, McD's, etc. Oh, and no lines for driver's license renewal, plate registration, etc. My wife and I were both hesitant to give up in-town conveniences, but after 7 years in the country, we can testify that the lack of city imbeciles makes the driving worth while!

I'm pretty happy with mine so far. Bought it Thanksgiving weekend. My only complaints and I guess I really shouldn't even call them complaints because they're both my fault anyway. First is the stereo, It just isn't loud enough. That's really my fault because they do offer the JBL set-up, but I honestly didn't look into it, and I didn't rest the loudness of the system in my test drive. I can fix it with some aftermarket speakers, and can most likely have it better than the JBL set-up anyway.

My second "complaint" would be the fact that its an Automatic. After driving stick for the last 4 years, I should of gotten the manual. I fell victim to my wife not being able to drive a stick, nor wanting to learn, and a good deal that I felt I couldn't walk away from. Sure I can put it in S mode and shift myself, but not my left foot is bored and I just don't get the same thrill.

Now, I'm sure driving a stick truck is a whole lot different than driving my SI. So, I suppose I wouldn't have the same thrill of a redline 2-3-4 pull up an on ramp in the truck as I did in my SI.

But with all that said, I'm very happy with my TRD Sport.

Love the truck. If I had a regret, it would be to have gone with the double cab over the access cab. Even though I don't really need back seats, would just be handy. Come summer time I'll appreciate the longer bed when I use it for camping :)

Yep, it was the first year for electronic traction control and the systems associated with that as well. I have an '09 and the radio was replaced under factory warranty by the original owner. Must have been a dud.

    Nothing worthy
I was of the same logic, never buy 1st year rebuild. Bought the 3rd gen LEXUS IS cause it was too fuckin sweet, 2.5 years later not one regret.
So feeling ok about the 3rd ten taco now. Don't have it yet and hope I don't regret it. Doubt it.
