Too many grandsons to take fishing in my regular cab so I had to buy me a DC. Would like to install magnetic drain plugs when I do the full fluid change this weekend. The 3.4 oil plug isn't hard to find. But, having trouble with the trans and rear diff. Anyone have recommendation for these two? Thanks.

when I did the diff changes, drain plugs are already magnetic.

I used to do that way back in the day before mag plugs. I pulled many pans, both oil and trans. Even with the filter magnets, the plugs pickup more. IDK, I'm not an automotive engineer, maybe because the metal particles settle down out of the fluids.

If auto trans, the pan has several magnets on the inside.

Goldplug.com has plugs for all the drivetrain modules if you really want them. Expensive but very good quality - plugs are stainless and the magnets are strong enough to be slightly inconvenient when installing.

Great! Just goes on the pile of reasons I like Toyotas so much.

I' ve been looking at them. Thanks for the input. Take it from an old guy, expensive is very relative. Pay for it now... or later. But, you will pay.

^I'm running one on the engine oilpan. Also got the one for the front diff to swap in at the next fluid change because it's an external hex. Stock is a small Allen socket head (at least on 2005+), which can round off easily with corrosion.
