Jobs in Bend can be rough. A lot of people want to live here so pay is not always the best, and overall not a ton of options. That being said I know a couple of people that work for Bend Research and they love it. Not sure if your back ground ties into that or not. I do know of a company hiring commercial glazers. If I come across anything else I will message you.

I haven't heard of bend research, ill look into them. if its got to do with the outdoors, then its probably got at least some of my background involved. From what im seeing, yea the jobs are far and few between. but who knows I may get lucky!

ive looked at it, yea. that would be a great fit for me, but I need some forestry classes before I can qualify. unless I go seasonal firefighter. but I want something a little more solid than seasonal. ive done seasonal for years and its nice not having to worry about work for 8 months haha

HEY MAN! I'm from the Bay area and have been up in Eugene for school the past 4 years. I have an internship in Bend and camp out there over the summers (otherwise I work remotely). Honestly, love Oregon and the much slower pace!

At first I hated how slow everyone drove, but before long, I'm usually the slowest driver on the road haha Great choice moving to Bend. It is so beautiful and and has so much to over when it comes to exploring.

Bunch of guys are planning their 5 annual tacoma meet up in Tillamook this June. You should look into it to meet some awesome locals, and hit some amazing trails and scenery.

Seriously Oregon is amazing, and traveling this state is even more so. I plan to move to Bend to continue my internship (or hopefully full time employee offers) after I graduate.

I haven't been here long, so I don't know the ins and outs, but definitely drive out to the coast (newport, florence), check out the sand dunes, find yourselves some hot springs, look for crystal clear swimming holes and campsites there, stunning waterfall parks, etc.... even the drive to all these places are gorgeous... I can name so much more. It is amazing. I wish I had more time to explore Bend's lava rocks and mountains, but I was working way too much. Ill be back out there soon enough though.

    God Oregon is amazing.
