So today I adding more crossbars to the CabRac, changed out the hardware since I had some extras.

[IMG]DSC05935 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

I was wondering why I had a mix between stainless and black bolts, turns out the HD bars use a different size
[IMG]DSC05936 (1) by Chandler Coe, on Flickr
[IMG]DSC05940 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

    But went from this
[IMG]DSC05930 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr
To this, and still have 3 bars left over
[IMG]DSC05942 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

While I was at it I said fuck it and moved onto the TopRac, so I was pretty confused last time how I wanted to tackle the tracks as I really didn't want them all jacked up. So I moved forward with attaching the cross bars to the tracks to have atleast make it square

[IMG]DSC05947 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

Then I cut my tracks to fit, leaving about 1/4 after the hole so the end cap can fit correctly
[IMG]DSC05948 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

So at this point I realized that I don't have my tape measure only a 7" triangle thats used for wood, well gonna get it done anyways
[IMG]DSC05954 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

So basically I just eye balled it, the bars are the same length as the CabRac so really I just had to make sure it was straight so this is where my last visit to the eye doctor came into play

[IMG]DSC05956 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

So I went ahead and marked where I was going to drill my holes, well fuck. So inside the topper you can see where it has more material in the center section verses the edge, and where I marked my holes were right there on the lip where the fiberglass comes down about 3/4"
[IMG]DSC05961 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr
So rationally I stopped taking pictures at this point because I fucked up and was losing daylight

I took the rack off and moved the legs in about 3" from where it was and finally got around to getting the holes drilled for the tracks. 1/8 pilot hole and 1/4 for the bolt, careful it chips the fiberglass pretty good. Well I put the tracks on and fuck me again the yakima supplied bolts won't make it all the way through since the fiberglass is too thick.

So I run to lowes and pick up longer bolts and head home so the lady can help me tighten down the bolts since I can't physically reach around and hold the other end to tighten them. Well can you guess whats gonna happen next, you guessed it fuck me 3 times. Somehow I only ended up with 11/12 knob/nuts for the inside of the topper, and I drilled 18 holes. So what the fuck, maybe I was only supposed to do every other on the tracks, but still doesn't make since with all the holes in the tracks.

At this point it was time to call it a night so my topper has one track and 9 holes on the opposite side....

On a better note I saw a eagle today, Wish I could have got a better picture but I wasn't about to stand in the middle of a 4 lane road

Oh I forgot to add my bed lights were giving me issues, I would hit the switch and the lights would turn on but very dim. So I just turned them off and no matter how many times I turned them on of off they just changed a different level of brightness dim/very dim lol So I cut its life support.

Im guessing its the switch thats bad, just adding shit to the never ending list

I realize this is an old topic. Did you have the 35s before you installed an aftermarket bumper? (curious about rubbing)
also, do aftermarket UCAs avoid rubbing more than stock?

No I had a bumper well before 35s came into play. My guess is what you trim for fenders and flares you'll have to follow the same line onto the bumper and the tiny flares on the bumper. Im sure it can be done without trimming the bumper but you'll be limited when the tire stuffs into the fender. Yeah UCAs will net you additional clearance, but I had 35s on stock UCAs since my wheels give me the clearance needed.
