I literally just did that... 79 alone in the carpool lane from mercer to 212th street in des moines. At the time I'm thinking "maybe this isn't such a good idea"

Hey guys been lurking on here a while, but can't make it to this meet up. Hopefully the next one! Located in Queen Anne in Seattle, but originally from Bellingham so I am always going back and forth.

Was curious what you fellow WA guys like to use as a bed cover. Got a cap now, but not crazy about the size/visibility. Theres a BAK group buy right now and wondered if anyone had one? Don't trust peoples "never get any water in the bed" when they are from places like AZ.

    So whats everyone's favorite cover?

I can tell you this is my 6th truck and first canopy. I can't belive that I never got one earlier. For living in seattle as much as it rains it's extremely useful. Get one that has access from the sides as well as the back.

And as for color silver that I have on both my 4runner and taco followed by the green and white

I really like my canopy, it makes the most practical sense to me. And especially since it rains a lot. Those Backflip folding bed covers are pretty cool too, but i wouldnt be able to fit an Elk in the back with one of those. Canopy all day!

Could be that mine doesn't open on the sides and it can be a PITA having to climb in every time. But hands down best for being able to throw anything you need inside. Just always fogged up and could be that I spend to much time parking in Seattle but it gets annoying.

Oh yeah i know the struggle of having to climb in and out of the canopy. I often think about a cargo glide in the back to make things easier. But if you dont have a need to carry a bunch of stuff in the back, then swap your canopy for a backflip cover.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
That's pretty sweet, thanks for the link Nick! I was considering getting this one, but it wouldn't work with the ARB (since the rollers are recessed):

Here's the one I put together. Cost about $12:

You think you would take the BackFlip or would you go with a different flat cover? Was poking around peoples pages on here but didn't see anyone with one. Could be your right, just cant beat the cap in the PNW

Yeah i almost bought a backflip. until i found this canopy on craigslist. I think you can flip it all the way up to the back window so you can use the whole bed if you need.

I like my canopy for the rainy months. Can toss whatever I want in the back, know it's semi secure, and will stay dry. my only complaint is it still let in a lot of dust. But that's more fault of the tailgate area than anything.

With that said though I want to get some bed bars for my rtt (to lower it's carry height) and easier access to my stuff.

But I'll run the canopy from like late Sept. To mid May and run the bed bars the rest of the time. Basically canopy when it's wet out.

Nice! Who makes that? I'm actually just starting to research adual battery setup. The bluesea ml-acr setup looks nice and isn't terribly expensive like other options Ive seen
