How much did that run you?

 

I'd just left work... I was driving fast to get to the booze, not away from it.

 

The battery holder is ~180 bucks. Then you have to get a controller which can run anywhere from 50 bucks (DIY) to ~180 (bluesea option) to 300+. Plus youll need fuses from battery to controller (depending which one you get) which is another ~50 bucks (based on quick Amazon look...might be cheaper). Then youll need the actual wiring and terminals which isnt to bad but figure ~20-30 bucks. Then obviously the batteries.....which figure 150+.

Im not sure what that gentlemen is going route wise but thats a ball park figure for you

So not cheap lol. But worth it if you have accessories to run (fridge!)

 

Everything on that list is reasonable minus the battery box. 200 bucks for 2 plates and some all thread...I'm in the wrong buisness.

 

Shit bro u should just trace some cardboard templates of those plates and give them out haha

 

Yeah thats how i feel too. But thats the market price point for them. It snot just the columbiaoverland one that is that expensive. ATO makes one that is the same price pretty much.

THe pictures ive seen these arent just flat top and bottom either. The bottom has a side to it. Plus it comes predrilled. But if you had the tools im sure you could make something similar for much cheaper....which might be the route i go.

I'm pretty sure I could of fab this up myself, but it really eliminated the time spent to convert and fab everything up. If I was unemployed like I was when I was Mr. mom, then yah I would of saved the money big time. Convenience is a motherfucker

That's how I feel anymore. Sometimes it's easiest to just shell out the money. Luckily this is one of those things I'm a few paychecks away from so I have time to consider fabbing something up. That and a couple hours overtime vs most likely a day of messing around to do it.
