Holy hell!! Looks like the wallet took a HUGE hit this week!!

That's a pretty tempting deal for the camera

 

Toytec has one full kit... but OME makes some dakars if you want new leafs in the back. Looks like ball joint spacers and torsion bars are your best bet up front.

As well I believe you know kevin, aka @92shawman, with his 1992 which is technically the same "generation" but it looks like everything is pretty different under there.

Anybody ever done the Mohave trail? Looks like a really fun weekend trip.

I have lots of experience out there. Fantastic run, best over a three day weekend due to the trek out there.

@deadhed61 BJ spacers sucked. It might be different for your dad's 5-lug, but I'm guessing you'd just go with lighter-duty components? Anyways, I think 89-95 are all the same so you can look stuff up for those years and the same suspension that I have in my build should apply (assuming 6-lug to 5-lug is the same). And the 93 fsm is out there, too. I didn't search too hard just now but I couldn't find the link, so let me know if you want me to email you the pdfs.

I think I ordered most of my stuff through Trdparts4u. Bushings and ubolts through Amazon. Diff drop to reduce vibes and cv problems from here: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/DiffDrop.shtml

All my stuff might give your dad's truck like 3" of lift. Might be safer with just a few turns on the torsion bars and an aal, but I haven't looked into those.

 

Thanks for the info man! I'll let you know if he needs the fsm. He's an old stubborn ass engineer who I've rarely seen read instructions so who knows if he'll "need" it

 

Haha, well it has all the torque values in it, too. Those are nice to have!

Last I heard it is open but the gate is locked. You'd have to park and walk in. That was on the 13th though.

 

Everytime I've been, if the gate is locked it also says it's closed. Interesting....
