I order Weather Tek mats and the optional door sil protectors.
Do the all weather mats like Weather Tek cover the Door Sil?
just wondering if the separate Door Sil protector is needed if you have the wetaher tek mats?

    Thanks

I put WT mats in my DC. They cover the carpeted area only. The oem Toyota door sill protectors cover a different part of the door sill which is painted. Ultimately you need both for optimal protection.

Ditto! The OEM door sill protectors do cover a different part of the door frame. My truck is white so they were a must! Actually not all that pricey but there isn't much to them either. If you install them yourself, which is very easy, just remember you only have "one shot" at their placement. I lined mine up with the indentions on the outer edges of the WT Floor Liners (I don't have the WT All-Weather Mats). Also, the WT liners fit perfectly. I would post pictures if I could figure out how to do it.

Speaking of OEM door sill protectors, do they already come with an adhesive backing, or do you have to supply your own method of adhesive to install the OEM door sill protectors?
