Well....I was going to leave at 3am to beat this ice home. But I have a check that I need to deposit at the on site credit union. I figured I would just chill since I didn't have any work anyway. So, I just get an email saying the credit union is closed due to inclement weather. Pshhh.....

Where you, in anderson or columbia? Did they even forcast any snow south of gville? nm, clinton. I don't know where that is.

 

Clinton about 30-40 mins from Greenville it's suppose to snow some I just want work to get cancelled

 

I always plant seed late fall... It allows them to establish themselves.. Then winter stuns it but comes back in spring.. If done in spring the heat and less rain will kill off 50% of seedlings from the harsher environment..

 

On a good note, sold both my glocks, model 29sf and 40mos. Both 10mm's. Shipped them out west and my friend got them. They are for her 2 oldest daughters, 18 and 20 I think. Will make nice woods guns and I'm sure the longslide will be used for deer this year.

 

Right, something about the heat killing the seedlings. I'll try again this year but I have a boatload of cedar trees and the soil is acidic, the grass just doesn't grow unless you saturate with lime from what I was told.

 

At least it wasn't purple dragons. They tend to be mean.

What Jeff said. Planting in the fall when there is still plenty of growing time for that particular seed gives the root system more time to mature before the tense heat of the summer. You can plant in the spring, but you really have to stay on top of watering it and probably still will not have as good of results as fall. I've never heard much about winter planting but I did see them hydro seeding a roadside last week.

 

I want to try that grass that you hook to your water hose and it comes out like slime. Stuff was growing on concrete. Probably a gimmick though.
