Rear locker and snow equals drift session fa sho!

 

Yeah I was gettin nervous on the way home from work. Taking the back roads, all the trees are covered in ice. I probably can't get to work if it ices. Truck torn apart and only daily driver being my lowered car on VERY summer tires ....... Probably not makin it

 

Soo.. in a very unfortunate turn of events.. The isolator on my passenger side has now been forced out the way by my coil.. So headstrong is refunding me the money for assembly but not I have to figure out how to fix this thing. They said to try and compress the coil, slide the isolator back into place and then epoxy it. How does that sound?

 

Wish we had snow today. I would of took some snow shots of the taco at the mall.

 

So are you planning a memphis trip soon?

 

They want you to fucking glue the piece in so it stays?? The real question you need to ask yourself is "why tha fuck is this thing still on my truck!?"

Just in time for Snopacalypse. I always choose the last possible minute and most inconvenient weather to half-ass my mods. Will have to pull it off again later to relocate my solenoid.

Forgive my wiring ignorance. This shit makes my head spin. I'm trying to get studied up so I can wire my compressor. It all seems simple enough except for the switch. There are two wires (red and blue) that I can't figure out what I connect them to. One is labeled ignition. I assume i splice it to a wire that has current whenever the truck is on. The other is labeled dash illumination. I assume it goes to a wire that only gets current when the dash lights are on. Is that all correct? My main question is how do I figure out which wires to tap in to?

 

That would be correct tap into your cig lighter outlet it is switched and easy to get to. The Illumination can be gotten from right above there in the ac switch for the lights for the knobs also right there. Just use a tap for them and you are good to go as they don't require a lot of current and are already fused at the panel. Use a multi meter or test light to id the illumination wire and switched on the cig.

 

I'd use an add a fuse right at the under dash fuse box. Look in your Tacoma user manual and it will tell you what fuses are what. Add the ignition wire to anything that only comes on with the ignition. And then use what Kurt said about the dash illumination. I didn't care to take the time to do the dash light so I just put the switch lights on a fuse that switches with the ignition also.

This is above my head ha ha. What's the benefit of the add a fuse? The wiring loom has a fuse built in. Any reason I shouldn't use kurts method since I understand it and yours confuses me?
