By 3.5" of lift I did mean from the coil only.. I had assumed the shocks would be set at 0.

Just to clarify...The 887s do not give 3.5" of lift...that is false. With the billies set to 0 they will give a double cab just under 3".

Wheels with 4.5" of bs and -12mm offset are just fine. Those are nearly identical to the specs on my wheels.

the website is being updated or something, either way I'd spend the extra cash on OME shocks

perhaps, i would guess 3-3.5. my 885x's gave me 2 1/4 with heavy bumper. probably would have been 2.75 stock.

I've got the bilstein/OME887 bundle kit from headstrong and I'm very happy with it. Many others on here have it as well.

No, sorry but you are wrong. The only way it will provide that much lift is if your stock shocks/coils have sagged half an inch below stock height.

Again, I have the kit and did extensive research before purchasing it. The 887s on billies set at zero will not provide more than 3" of lift up front from stock height on a double cab tacoma. Mine gave me 3" immediately after the install but settled about 1/4" after a couple weeks. I have no armor or additional weight up front.

my numbers are added to factory height. my lift was actually more like 3.5" including sag. You say 2.75 ill believe that tho.

You have an access cab, OP has a double cab. I have also been talking about double cabs, specifically. These coilover combos will affect access cabs and double cabs differently.

I assume that's due to the weight difference?

All I know is the kit came with:

    OME 887
    Bilstein 5100 front adjustable shocks
    Bilstein 5100 rear shocks
    1/4" spacer for Taco lean
    HS-3 progressive AAL
    LR UCA's

And it was significantly less expensive than doing a full OME setup. About $450 less.

I have the same kit, and my only regret is not getting the UCAs. I think you will be very happy with it!

I decided to spring for them just because I was told it's easier to align with them. I don't want any issues on such a new truck.

Yeah that's a good call. I don't have them and I think my truck drives fine, but it isn't as perfectly aligned as my truck was at stock height. It isn't very bad, just noticeable. I should have gotten UCAs, I had the money, but I wanted to do it cheap. Live and learn.

Not strange at all, they pair real well together despite what some may say. The funny thing is those who will say this have no experience with the set-up or even know much about the coils. I've argued this numerous times talking about coil design, specs, or even just using logic, but some people just don't grasp the concept or can't see past the marketing tactics used to ensure the purchase of one brand or even their own product.

But heres an OME setup that is pretty close to the same as the Bilstein/OME combo. Kit includes OME front and rear shocks, trim packer, your choice of OME coils, and the HS 3 leaf AAL w/ubolts.

Thanks for your input. The kit you linked there is still almost $300 more than what I paid.

Yep, the OME shocks are more $$$.
I was just responding to the guy who mentioned why they don't do a similar kit using OME shocks/coils, which they do.
