I just arm and armor my Provisioners to the tits and let them all go to their settlements from a central location. WHen I put up a new settlement and need a new route, I activate the beacon for a few minutes at my home base until a settler shows up. Then it's "Take this, this, these, this, this ammo, wear this hat, goodbye" and shut the beacon off again.

My home base pop is exactly the number of trade routes I have going out.

 

I just hit level 50 last night.. I have Piper CAit and McCreedy Maxed out.. cant get Hancock to max out for some reason.. and have some lady mr handy bugging the shit outa me to tag along.. is she worth anything...

 

You can turn her into a synth through the institute storyline, IIRC, and then bang her if you'd like.

 

Oh yeah, she's worth it!

As for Hancock, have you completed the Silver Shroud missions?

 

I don't think it matters which storyline, cuz I did it and I'm BoS

 

Exactly. Regardless of faction, once she "likes" you enough, she'll tell you that she needs a body to continue her research on absolutely nothing.

 

I actually want some of mine to die, so I can rework the supply lines for more efficiency. I wish there was a way to cancel supply lines from the settlement.

 

Good to know. I've never done it but now that I know that I'll do it even though I'm railroading this time around.

I haven't been able to play Fallout in a week due to the new job .

 

You can, but you have to catch a provisioner inside the build area in a settlement. You can go into workshop mode and give them a different job to clear their provisioner status, then assign them to a different supply route. It's a pain in the ass.

 

The trade route just disappears from the map

 

You can reassign your provisioners to something else and then reassign a new provisioner

I'm kinda unsure whether or not provisioners can actually die when they are out and about . I watched Super Mutants attack one of my provisioners for a couple minutes and they were just shooting the shit out of the provisioner with one of those flaming lasers and grenades and the provisioner would just sit down after a while like the Companions do when they are injured , then after a while the provisioner got back up and the whole sequence repeated a couple times . They didn't actually die till I accidentily shot them while I was trying to snipe one of the Mutants , and that provisioner had no armour

 

None of mine has died either, and I have 3 swimming across the ocean to spectacle, because I didn't care how mine were set, now I wish I would of made it a little better.

 

For provisioners is it better to have them all travel from a home base location to a settlement or to do more of a chain system like A to B, B to C, C to D and so on?

 

I have a chain system in a semi circle but there are a few branches off to settlements I discovered after my main routes were set up
