So I got my order from Superbright LED's, well at least half of it. The rest is backordered.

I got the map and dome lights. Like everyone else on here, at 31mm the dome light is too big. The map lights are fantastic, its amazing how much easier it is to see inside. I have a DC with Sunroof, I believe the dome light is different in each trim.

Back to the dome light, I can't seem to find a 29 mm or smaller bulb on Superbright LED's site, my guess after reading this thread is that they don't have them.

My question for you gents is did you mix your Superbright LED's map lights with another brand for the dome light? If so, do they match in color and light output?

@Metalnut looks like you may have done this and you ended up with extra bulbs.. how did they match up?

I don't exactly have an artist's eye for color, but to me they matched up great! I actually have 5 extra bulbs :-\

The dome light bulb posted in the image is a 30mm which from the previous posts I assumed would be a good fit. It is tight and doesn't have the small nipples at each end like the OEM bulbs. They fit fine but I think the 29mm would be a better fit. The map lights are very nice and a huge improvement to the factory bulbs. The dome light is not nearly as bright as the maps

I would argue that 28mm is actually the best fit, that's what I got. 29mm would still push the tab over too much, imho.

Yeah, I would have to agree. I think the 28 would even be a better fit!

I went with the super white version, they arrived quickly and match up nicely. Thanks for the info.

    Philips LED Backup lights

So I found some Philips LED's for the reverse lights at a local parts store. When I went to install them I found that they did not fit exactly. The Light bulb style is correct, however the Philips bulb has an extra piece of plastic where the wire terminals are located. This extra piece of plastic did not allow the bulb to fully insert into the socket. If anyone is wondering these are definitely incompatible with the Tacoma.

    Hi,
I have a 2016 DCOR and like the way the upgrade looks, thanks for all the info. Do they work like the factory bulbs and brighten when you open the door & dim when you close it?

I have the LEDs installed on my DC sport. I don't think that LED lights are able to dim. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I love the look of the LEDs though! Would recommend for anyone. I got the $20 kit off of Amazon, work great.

So how did your kit from Amazon turn out? Thinking about ordering it, was it the same quality as the o.p. was? Also, was the one you ordered from the seller linked below? Thanks

Turned out awesome. The pictures didn't though. The lights in the visors flicker a little bit and are almost blinding but I definitely suggest the rear light and the map lights. Huge difference over stock. I can actually find things in my truck at night. I'll go outside and take some more pics tonight if I remember.

Anyone having problems with the LED's staying on low (or still pulling power) even when the light is supposed to be off - heard a mention about a rectifier?

@ScottyR can you confirm that this set doesn't draw power as I referred to?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Having a problem. Drivers side map led (vleds) went out last night. Had a spare and put it in. It worked and today it went out as well. You can see it flicker every once in a while. Bad bulbs ? Or something else?

I bought the same set from Amazon. They are great. All went well until I got to the license plate lights. I have the tow package so it's pretty tight down there. I left some skin on the bumper for sure.

I changed all the interior light over except the dome light - even following the instructions listed on page 1 of this thread I can't get it to come off...

Is it simply pull really hard on the back side (closest to the rear window) to release the pressure tabs? Or do I need to bend the pressure tabs in a particular direction?

Any tips or better yet - a photo of the tabs would be appreciated!

The instructions are wrong, I mentioned that a few pages back. Don't pull on the back side, I tried that and almost ripped the housing out. Look at the dome light, but look at the WHITE plastic piece and at its edge that's towards the front of the car. See the two little slots along the edge? Put a small screw driver into each one of those and pry the white plastic out of the black housing that way. So the edge towards the front of the car has to come out first, and just the white plastic, not the whole black housing.
