I'm thinking the bed shifted on the frame, rather than a bent frame causing the difference in gaps between the cab and bed, but a proper evaluation and estimate is a lot more valuable than a bunch of ideas tossed out on the internet. Good luck in any case, glad you're OK

A little shaken for me but ok..my second accident in 36 years of driving. First time was the same scenario with my mazda 6 GT; it was only 6 months old. 2 accidents within 4 years.

Just remember.. The trucks still are just 'things'. They can be replaced and they are designed to disintegrate to keep the impact forces from being directed to the occupants.

It is a pain in the ass, but you will have another vehicle. Your family will have a much tougher time having another 'you'.

My frame is bent and I still drive my truck, sure it has a slight pull to the right but whatever... Wow typing this down to read my thought process... I feel as if having a bent frame is like having two left shoes

Thanks. I was hoping to keep the truck as long as my bike but if it pulls or behave weird after repairs..it's gone !
Would trade it on a 2016'.

With that much damage, id make them total it! No way its $12k with all factory parts. I would not accept any aftermarket or used parts. New from the factory only. Especially if their insurance is paying....

So I got a phonecall today from the estimator..A preliminary estimate of 6 to 7,000$ maybe more for repairs. He told me that the frame was slightly damaged but will be repaired :help:...not what I wanted to hear. The whole front suspension needs replacement on the passenger side.
Will definitely be trading it when I get it back. Wondering how this will affect the value of my truck when trading it on a 2016' model !?

Make them use all new factory parts. Refuse used or aftermarket. Especially if you are not at fault. That is your right.
