Days when I am at the house, and just want to Netflix it up, I watch the ESPN E:60 and SEC Storied documentaries. The way they are shot and narrated is amazing.

There will soon be another Moss playing college football.

Thaddeus Moss, the son of former NFL star Randy Moss, is a 2016 football recruit who committed to NC State on Saturday.

The younger Moss, a 6-foot-4 tight end, chose the Wolfpack over some big offers and a final list of NC State and Texas A&M.

"It just felt right," he said. "It's close to home, it felt right, and they kept it real with me from day one. NC State was the first team to offer, and loyalty was rewarded."

Randy Moss originally committed to Notre Dame, but after legal troubles there and during a redshirt season at Florida State, Moss ultimately starred as a wide receiver at Marshall, finishing fourth in Heisman Trophy balloting in 1997.

If he's anything like his dad, this will be wasted talent at NC St.

Florida State has settled a federal Title IX lawsuit with Erica Kinsman, a former student who said she was raped by quarterback Jameis Winston in 2012.

The settlement was announced on Monday, more than a year after she initially filed the complaint in federal court.

FSU agreed to pay Kinsman $950,000 – an amount that includes attorney’s fees – as well as make a five-year commitment to awareness, prevention and training programs. The lump sum is the largest settlement for Title IX claims regarding indifference to a student’s reported sexual assault.

“I will always be disappointed that I had to leave the school I dreamed of attending since I was little,” Kinsman said in a statement. “I am happy that FSU has committed to continue making changes in order to ensure a safer environment for all students.”

FSU did not admit to liability in the settlement, which university president John Thrasher said the school agreed to in order to avoid additional litigation expenses.

“We have an obligation to our students, their parents and Florida taxpayers to deal with this case, as we do all litigation, in a financially responsible manner,” Thrasher said in a statement. “With all the economic demands we face, at some point it doesn’t make sense to continue even though we are convinced we would have prevailed.”

The settlement does not affect an ongoing Title IX investigation by the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights. Kinsman filed a complaint with the agency in early 2014 and it opened an investigation in April of that year.

I mean if he's as good as his dad, then his talent will be wasted at a school like NC State. A guy like that could navigate a good program a lot further than he could at a school like NC st.

In case anyone is keeping tabs, FSU released a statement on the matter.

In short, it said they only settled to avoid the additional millions in litigation fees the school would have incurred. They accepted no responsibility and maintained their belief that had it gone to court they would have prevailed.

The statement also notes that kinsman will receive approx. 250k while her lawyers will be receiving about 700k.

This is a bit of a different story than the one all the news outlets are pushing out.
