    So still only 81 cents / litre for 91 versus over $1 here , still seems cheap

    difference being that gas sold in Alberta is refined in Alberta from oil extracted in Alberta.
    gas should be cheaper in Alberta than anywhere else in Canada.

    as it should be considering gas is produced "in house".
    I wasn't complaining about the increases (statement of fact more than anything), although I can see how it could have been interpreted that way.

    Only a few places though do it internal.

    Reasoning we got for the last time it was at 1.21 just 2-3 months ago was that the 7 or 8th largest (don't quote me on that) refinery in NA placed in Oklahoma was down. Couldn't keep up and why Petro Canada was .10 less than everywhere else for a bit.

    @OZ-T

    Today on the Queen Elizabeth II Hwy I found gas for $71.9/L. I commented to the clerk on that price and he mentioned that head office told them to keep up on their emails because it will probably fall daily here. I find that weird because I swear somewhere I read that wholesale prices have stabilized in the low 60's. I don't price wholesale anymore because I switched jobs but if that's true then gas can't fall much below $0.70/L with taxes and profit included. I wonder if the processors will use these prices to try and knockoff the little chains around here. The best time to do it is during a low price period because that's when the wholesale division makes the most money and when the losses from selling super cheap are the lowest.

    74.9 in Taber, 79.9 in Coaldale, and 71.9 in Lethbridge. I also found a Fast Gas station selling for 71.4 but maybe they had a broken sign. All Southern Alberta. I had to go for a little drive today lol.

    I grew up in a town of 7000 that had a shooting over a decade ago. If the town comes together they will be okay. Hopefully they take a lesson from our town and keep the media out.
