I haven't seen HMW since their reunion tour in 2007, havent tried to hear anything new since then either. I keep old stuff in rotation always. I'm stubborn and have very little interest in newer music as I get older. I'm the crankiest 27 year old ever. I almost sent my dog to live with my mom in FL when she chewed up my ten year old HWM - Caution hoodie. I still hold a small grudge. She's an asshole.

    That cracks me up.

Exister wasn't half bad. Not quite up to snuff with their old stuff, but enjoyable nonetheless. Regan's other band, The Draft, is pretty good IMHO; first time I heard Lo Zee Rose I played it on repeat for three days straight. I tend to do that. A lot.

As far as the tendency to listen to "old" music, "no matter how new age you are, old age will kick your ass".

Yeah, I know that feeling. I'm 32 years old and I question my judgement when it comes to going to shows. Case in point: Went to see Reel Big Fish Monday night. Arrived home around 0030-0100 only to wake up at 0330. That hurt.

Title Fight. I like them but I haven't heard their new album. Listening now. I'll also check out the others you mentioned. Always up for discovering good music.

I like plenty of new stuff, but when that gets old, annoying, or starts to sound the same, I'll go back to what I listened to years and years ago.

As far as jumping in, oh no. I'm the dude in the back with a beer, listening to the music, and noting that generally the crowd keeps getting older.

I prefer "makeshift" knapsack, but the very same one.

Just bought tickets to Drive Like Jehu's Echoplex show.

    where from and to?

I grew up in Dublin, mostly raised by OSU's campus. lived in short north, now in long beach. Sometimes hookers sleep in my driveway. Which is like, pretty cool. in a my life sucks, but not as bad as being 20 blowjobs deep into my workday and sleeping on asphalt for a quick powernap before power chugging dong in a strangers car kinda way.

Well, Mr. Guevara, I think you'll make a fine, refreshing addition. I am looking forward to the big reveal of your white mudflap. And I can't wait until you meet Larry.
