My neighbors don't subscribe to this train of thought. They are going to have a mess on their hands when they finally get out there.

I ducked right on to work. I just hope I can get home in the morning. There will be a lot of ice.

We keep having second-long power outages, just long enough to re-start all my electronics. About every half hour. Just annoying. Otherwise doing fine, Andy. About to go out for shoveling #3, as much as I'd love to hit the hay.

Waited too long. Had drifts covering about 30 percent of the driveway that were over a foot deep, just in a few hours. Made for some heavy lifting. Going to catch a nap. Will take me about 2.4 seconds to fall asleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Make that .0000001 second.

Just started to snow about an hour ago and the wind is starting to crank up.
Missing the direct hit here on the coast of ct, but still supposed to get about 10" here.
I'm about 4 miles inland, but the beaches will get hit good with full moon tides and NE winds pushing water into the Long Island Sound.

Still better that that nasty storm in 2013 when we got about 4 feet in one shot.

Slept too long... three hours. Nearly a foot over the entire driveway and drifts of at least 18 inches. Made it a real bear to get it up this time. Next trip in just 90 minutes. Forgot to sweep off the DirecTV dish on top of the roof. Gotta go back out into the cold and get that.

    Ps. Good morning !

 Morning Cam. With all that shoveling, please make sure you're staying hydrated ... I've noticed since living here, people tend to forget that in the cold sometimes. Just felt it worth mentioning.

If you have someplace to store one, you might consider getting a snow blower. I went our first four Winters up here without one, then a buddy moving back to lower 48 offered me a steal of a deal on one he had only used one time. I don't always use it, think only 2 or 3 times this year, but when the snow is wet, heavy, and a lot ... it's worth it's weight in gold. :notsure:

They just put up a blizzard warning up for my area in Southern Ct.
Wind is cranking up in the last half hour.
I have to run a couple errands in an hour and that's it.

One of the disadvantages of owning a weiner dog is the lack of ground clearance!
Have to shovel a couple of racetracks in the yard for her convenience and comfort, lol.

You know, Rob, I think about getting a snowblower from time to time. Then I think of how many times I would actually get it out. I wouldn't even bother for most of the 2-5 inches of snow we usually get around here. Then once every three or four years we get a big storm and I kick myself in the ass for not getting one. I'll have to get one while this memory is still fresh in my head so I don't talk myself out of it again.

If you do get one, two stage and 10 hp min is the way to fly. With snowblowers, more is better.
