This 3d printed switch holder is designed to adhere to the upper console sunglass holder compartment via high strength-pressure activated adhesive. I designed it with simple installation in mind. It requires one large hole to be drilled in the center of the sunglass holder door for wire pass-thru and one more to be drilled in the upper console body behind the sunglass holder for the wire run to your fuse block.

These will also fit snugly to the bottom of your dash board in frontal pocket area where the center console meets the dash. Here is a picture of the prototype in that orientation:
    473CEB08-8B21-48F8-B7C2-4E85EFDD83EC_zps_1a1461389da2a1c8f01296f48c8ff41ecb704dda.jpg

    Specs:
    • Designed to fit 5 OTRATTW switches.
    • Comes with adhesive. You can use automotive goop for a more permanent mounting solution.
    • Painted with OEM grade black interior paint and protective satin clear coat.
    • $70
    Custom Options Available:
Since these are created on a made-to-order basis, I can customize the design for any order and print them to hold any other suitable components, switches, displays, etc... I will charge for any added design time, but my rate is very reasonable, and simple changes front opening sizes will be very inexpensive.

    Limited time offer:
If you are local to my area (LA County, Ventura County) I will give you a switch panel for half off and assist you with the installation procedure so that I can get pictures of the process and a fully populated switch panel. I am very well experienced in wiring and automotive electronics installation, so I think you'll find my help with the install very useful.

I can make 10 per month, so if orders start to grow I'll start a list.

Can you make a wider one for the bottom cubby and have 5 switches plus a 2-1/16" hole for a gauge? :)

    You've gotta luv 3D printing.

    Q's:

    1) Is there ample room for the switchbacks and wiring harness in both models?

    2) The cubby model appears to require that a hole be drilled upwards into the lower dash. Have you checked to see what is behind the dash panel at that location?

Awesome, Charles! Send me an email when you're ready and we can get your order placed! Since you're local to my area, you're eligible for the limited time offer, as well.

Yeah, I can definitely make a wider panel for the lower cubby. Actually, this one wasn't even intended for that area, but it fit happened to fit perfectly.

Yes, the switchbacks and connections are all housed within the panel itself so that the wires can make a slim return into their areas to be passed through.

For mounting under the lower dash, you'll want to be careful when cutting the wire pass through hole. Because of the angle itself you'll want to use a rotary cutter rather than a drill. There is enough room behind it to cut the opening and pass the wires through.

Anyway to make it like the others being built where it's slanted and not rounded ad much? . I don't care about the back so the whole thing could be cut out. I will be glossing it in and making it look factory like the others have previously done.

    Thanks. Very interested

I got lucky and paid $150 for mine with OTRATTW Switches included. If I didn't come across that good of a deal I would actually just do an SPOD in the sunglass holder myself. Doesn't portude like the overhead ones do.

Mine is not intended to match or look OEM as of now. I did not show a grey one, in that picture you're referencing the part has a glare from the camera flash. I've experimented with every aerosol paint under the sun and none of them match the OEM interior perfectly, so until I start having that color mixed to match and spraying from a compressed air set up, these will be offered in black to add an intended contrast.

Thanks mods for cleaning this thread up.

    Both products have their upside
    Both have their bad sides.
In the end, both are excellent products.

It's just a matter of opinion and needs.

    Props to BOTH for originality.
