Nice. I've run them on 1911's before, and I was going to get a set for my 17 since the factory night sights are getting dim.

    ^^ This

Sights are amazing. Standard glowing 3 dot when it's dark, and in the daytime that front florescent circle just lights up and is so easy and fast to rest in the rear U notch.

Itching to get another pistol.... HK USP Compact 9mm or 40. I can't get the VP9 or VP40 thanks to Nazi California and it not being on their roster

Duude...me too. I was at a store picking up a couple lowers I ordered tonight and there was a popo trade-in USP there. Lucky for my wallet it was a 40 S&W. and I don't do 40.

    For SBR?
Contemplating trying a form 1 suppressor, but with the cost of rimfire suppressors I don't think I can justify it right now (Over just just buying a suppressor)

Thanks, I plan on doing this SBR and a rimfire suppressor in the next few months, and sometime next year a 5.56 or 308 suppressor (along with a 308 host, thinking a MVP patrol rifle).
Not sure what I want after that.

Yeah SBR, making a Mk18. Already have the rare parts, Surefire 4 prong, and a FDE Mk18 rail.
Going to use the new Brownells A1 lower.

Then hopefully not too far down the road, the Socom suppressor for the 18 and an Allen Engineering AEM5 for a Mk12 Mod 1 I'm collecting for.

Why don't you do .40? Just curious.

I ended up going the Savage & Vortex route. Picked up a Savage 10T (I believe this is a Cabelas exclusive model) 308 Win and a Vortex Viper HS LR 33mm, 4-16x50mm.

Really liked that glass versus the Nikon M-308...and the 50mm versus 42 is quite nice. And only $50 more.

I don't either. I have a few reasons, one being that I needed to consolidate calibers. My research lead me to believe that it is no more deadly than 9 or 45, and it is the least pleasant to shoot of the 3. For those reasons staying out of 40 has been pretty easy for me, never got the itch to go back.

I don't do .40, nothing against it but I need another caliber like I need a hole is the head.

Couple reasons, I guess, but mostly just caliber consolidation. I reload 38/357 and 45 ACP, and 9mm is usually cheap enough that I just buy loaded ammo. Since there are very few gun models available in 40 that aren't also available in 9mm, it's just something I avoid. I think the 40 is a great caliber, but I'm already heavily vested in 9mm and don't have much desire to gear up to support another caliber.

I'm stoked! It's like a howitzer barrell! Just grabbed a couple of boxes of Federal 168 grain Sierra Matchking BTHP to run through her!

Thanks gain for leading me in that direction.
