Nobody is getting through on my street today except the snow plow, if it ever shows up. That slogan of the post office... not snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night... will be tested today.

Is it your back ? Mine is barking at me.

At least you must not be getting the wind we are. I can't clear any spot that size, the wind blows snow over one end by the time I get to the other.

Hope you feel better, take it easy the rest of the day !

Really warm winter so far, keep it coming. Lots of Northern lights too. Feel for all you waiting for the storm to hit.

    • West Virginia: 34 inches of snow in Tunnelton, in the northern part of the state.
    • Virginia: 33 inches in Winchester, about 60 miles west of Washington D.C.
    • Pennsylvania: 31 inches in Windber, Somerset County. Windber is about 60 miles east of Pittsburgh.
    • New Jersey: 16 inches in Whiting, Pemberton and Woodbridge.
    • New York: 13.5 inches in Hollis Hills, Queens.
    • Delaware: 12.1 inches near Dover.
    • Connecticut: 6.5 inches in Darien.

No postman yet today and we haven't seen a plow since early last evening. My neighbors in the FD and he just left but he has a mega lifted 4x4 Silverado.

They figured out it's useless to plow with this much snow still coming down and the wind blowing the snow from trees, buildings and even off the ground. It's coming down sideways.

No way mail is coming here today. I'd be interested to see that ultra lifted Silverado try to drive on my street...

I told my child bride that I'm not even going to try and clear the cars or driveway until tomorrow. The wind is still blowing the snow around...

Yep, wind is supposed to blow pretty hard until sunrise tomorrow. I'm going to get it once or twice more today just so I don't have too much to do tomorrow morning.

According to the NYTimes map I'm in the 21" range currently. According to the NWS national map the storm is stalled over us at the moment. If you see the little yellow spot in the middle, and it's still in PA, that's us. Yay. I'm thinking we might end up with around 3 feet.
