Oh, nice. I went there and got a great deal on the BBP OR they had sitting on their lot but in the end I decided I wanted the truck exactly how I had it configured and not the way they had it on their lot. Very nice people though.

    Oh my..... @ELKAHOLIC & @RedBeard1
That really sucks and doesn't make me feel any better at all.

What add on's did you all build into your package besides LB to make the wait so long I wonder? Premium & Tech/Audio Package as well?

    Good luck guys.

    Mostly stuff I built.
Mine is a DCSB OR 6MT in Quicksand only add on is the tow package. Most basic OR model truck built all standard equipment as per Toyota's spec sheets excluding the tow package. Gulf States Toyota Distribution sucks is what my wait boils down to. They don't like to order manual transmission builds so if you want one with a 6MT you gotta wait for a BOS trade and 3 allotment cycles. Once you get through that you have to wait on the magical manual transmission run at the assembly plant which is only done when the que is filled so that the tooling change is worth their while to make a few thousand of them.

Actually I was cussing the whole way home. The speed limit through the states I went through was 80 mph and I had at least 200 semi's sandblast me with cindercone as they flew by me.I was trying to drive it moderately to break it in ,once I hit the 1000 mile mark on the odometer ,I put it on cruise control and kept those f-ckers behind me.

Called Dealer Friday, the build date was 1-25 (Monday)however it show it moved up to Saturday (today). Didn't know they worked on weekends. So I am figuring it should show up in 2-3 weeks at dealer.

I hate to read this. I ordered the exact same truck as you, except in Inferno. Supposed to hear something from the dealership Monday. Guess I better settle in for a long wait......

Seems like all they put on the the lots in Texas are SR packages and 2wd Texas packages. Tacoma market in Texas is a joke geared toward the weirdos in Austin.

I ordered a trd off road dcsb with manual 4 weeks ago. I have gotten zero updates from my dealer on progress. I spoke with another dealer today who claims they can view the orders my dealer has into toyota and they see nothing resembling my order. This make sense? Should I be concerned?

keep in mind folks, your trucks might not be built right away just because you ordered it and your sales guy says nice things that make you happy. As I understand it, there's a line and it's a fuckin long one. Had I custom ordered a truck to my liking, it would be a august delivery. Since I was able to find something damn close to my desired build on 1/1 that was already a dealer build request I'm getting it, hopefully, by the end of February with a 1/29 build date that's been confirmed as late as yesterday. I'm told delivery dates are roughly 2-4 weeks post build date depending on weather and such. good luck to us all.

It also just occurred to me that us Texas peeps are at a supreme disadvantage when it comes to build spec. For whatever reason the local plant won't build in certain color/package/trim/style combos. This was the main reason I wasn't able to do business with my local dealer. Lucky for me I have a friend in the Denver area who heard of my frustration, worked super hard for me, found what I wanted and is able to cut my wait time from 8 months to 2 without compromising my spec. If you are so inclined you can contact Colin Finnegan at Pedersen Toyota in Ft Collins. Good guy, passionate about off roading and his Toyotas. He gets us.
