Yeah, agreed. TFL is usually pretty good, but I trust the overall reviews of the members here. A good mixture of humor and info (info-humor).

Saw this video, didn't make the new model look all that impressive. New model does have a lot nice changes. All these gens have a lot of major diffs that don't make it an even comparison.

    Infumor? Humo? Huminfo? Meh...

I watched the video, but it was kind of a weird 'review' of the three. One was manual and the other were auto, first of all, so already not on a level playing field if they were going for a performance comparison.

Informational, but not really a 'comparison' - more of just them explaining all three models.

Soooo,.. the 2nd gen is quicker (more torque),.. and gets same / better mpg than the 3rd gen.
Even though I feel the TFL videos are pure amateur hour, this review pretty much confirmed my thoughts on the third gen. I just reaaaally want a sunroof. :(

Buy a 1st gen with a sunroof. Or get one aftermarket.

For sure. I hope my comment didn't come across as sarcastic. I've seen some sunroof installs on here (a few threads) that look really good. Maybe someday. And, to get things back on track,.. I really wish Toyota did more with the "all new" Tacoma. Maybe they will 10 more years from now when the next one comes out.

I've pretty much given up on new cars. I stay with the most classic thing I can afford. Right now? A 1st gen Tacoma. If I could afford it, I'd have a nice 1st gen 4Runner or even an old FJ40. But man are those getting expensive.

Yeah me too... Looking at new rigs and went to check out the F-150 line up... didn't see anything i liked remotely in my price range. I mean $62K for an F-150? and they actually had a Shelby F-150 that was just shy of $100K... yeah, I don't see that getting muddy any time soon. Even had a used F-150 Plat that was $57K
