that's exactly what I did. I think for now it's the best option, maybe.

I had it done by a local fab shop in the Reno/Sparks area. Took bits from a bunch of different designs I found online. The ultimate goal was to get it off the bed rails without sacrificing too much width.

Yessir, took a bunch of aspects from other racks I found online and worked with someone locally. Finding the hi lift/shovel mount was the hardest part, as it's only made by an Australian company. Sierra Expeditions ended up having one and was fantastic about getting me set up.

That's why I left that dealership and many others here in SoCal telling them to fuck off. Prices were ridiculous but there's people that pay it.

    yup socal blows

went to almost every dealer in LA and Orange county and all wanted msrp or mark ups.

Best i did was get a grad rebate out of msrp on new years. which was 750. Granted they did take my vehicle in for 2000 over what car max offered. so i felt good about that.

Nothing is cheap in LA or cali

I have to admit it was more of an impulse buy, with my wife urging me to get steps so she could get into the new truck. I did have to drill two holes that werent in the fab. do you have a sport 4x4?

Great looking truck and that's an awesome rack! What shop did you get it done at? I'm down in Carson.

I managed to get $800 off msrp at Claremont Toyota on my tacoma this last November.
I considered it a steal, but I did had to play hardball with them for an hour or so on a Sunday night lol
