Yep I still like it. Weight savings is huge. Weight of old bumper and winch: 170#. Weight of new bumper and winch: 115#.

Design, quality, and frame support is much better than my old one too.

Finally re-aimed my headlights after almost a year of having them :anonymous: They were aimed a little too high so that probably 1 out of every 30 cars would flash their lights at me and I was blinding people I was behind at stoplights and such. It's such a PITA to adjust our headlights that I kept stalling and stalling. Got them back down to 40'' at 25'.

Now I don't feel so bad driving behind people at night

    No problem, thanks!

I am using a BAMF Behind-The-Grill light bar mount.

How come you replaced your DO bumper for a Pelfrey bumper?

    Very nice build btw!

Mainly for weight savings, saved about 50 pounds just in the bumper itself, plus the construction and design looks of the Pelfrey was much higher quality IMO.

Like Mason said, I would say it has about 10'' of adjustment vertically behind the grill.

State inspection done. Guy gave me shit about my lightbar behind the grill, so I just loosened it and rotated it so it was pointing up. Two hours. Never going back to that shop again.

He tried to tell me it must be covered with "an approved plastic cover", not just covered, since I was pissed and told him I'd just tape over it when he gave me shit. Told him to show me where it said that in the law (because I have actually read the inspection procedures and it doesn't say anything about a "plastic cover" anywhere. He was trying to find the wording for like five minutes so I just got pissed and told him I would just rotate the lightbar up and luckily he gave in.

Thought he was also going to give me shit about my Rigid reverse lights and other shit. I don't even normally have parking lights since the plastic in my aftermarket retro's got fucked up where the connecter rotates into the headlight, but luckily I had just plugged the lamps in, then duct taped the connecter into the hole before I got the inspection ;)

    !!! !!!

Just got into an accident. Guy slammed on his brakes in a "yield" right turn lane and I didn't have enough time to stop completely. I will be at fault and it was my bad for following too close, but still sucks.

ZERO damage to Pelfrey, save some paint chips on the right wing and some on the winch fairing. Dented his trunk pretty good and rear bumper but nothing too bad.

Accident forgiveness with USAA so I won't have a rate increase as long as I drive safe for the next year I think. Just a shitty situation because I was literally less than a minute away from my destination.

Scratches to wing and recovery hook. I thought there was scratches on the winch fairing, but that square spot on the top is just where the WARN sticker fell off in the wreck ;) Didn't want that sticker anyway :)

Not too bad. Glad to see how well the aluminum pelfrey held up. Now I really want one :anonymous:

Hope his actions weren't intentional either.

Truck handled this snow storm like a champ! Picked up a couple firemen during my shift who got stranded on one of our runs when the ambo and engine had to go to the hospital with a patient. Very minimal slippage, only really lost some traction taking turns through the intersections where the plows did not clear any corners, just plowed across. Stayed in 4HI the whole time.

On the way home, winched out a local member, then a Geo Metro who thought he could make it through 20"+ of snow, then a lowered Honda Civic who high sided himself in the gas station parking lot.

Now at home trying to shovel out the 24"+ of snow on my driveway. Cleared out enough to park the truck and get it off the street, and will have to gradually work on the rest throughout the day.
