I agree! Would be nice if everybody would just follow these simple guide lines,I think the trouble with that is people are installing them without having a clue about all the information they should know. Tks for posting

Lift, Wheels, and Tires finally installed! Total Chaos upper control arms, King racing shocks all the way around, Icon Add A Leaf in the back, Method Racing Wheels, and 285/70/17 BFG AT KO2'S which gave me a 2" suspension lift and 2" bigger tires compared to stock! Thanks to Jared at Dirt Trenz for putting up with me during the process and doing an awesome job!! I love it!!

Looks great! I am considering a lift for mine soon. I was planning to use The Truck Shop. Sounds like you were happy with Dirt Trenz...

You did what? Install the kit or have to install longer studs? How hard is it to take apart the shock assembly?

Thanks! I talked to The Truck Shop, but they never even got around to calling me back with a quote...let alone 3-5 different quotes that I got before I made my decision. I even cancelled my Icon Stage 4 order and switched to King/TC after several members posted about bad experiences with them on the 2016's. I had a ton of questions while I was trying to decide what I wanted and Jared from Dirt Trenz always took care of me and answered all of my questions. He was also several hundred dollars cheaper than ORW and 4 Wheel Parts..and did some other things that were above and beyond what those other shops would do as far as customer service. He's definitely earned my repeat business and I highly recommend him.

The lift was $3650 installed (discount for paying cash) and $2000 for 4 wheels and 5 tires through a connection at Discount Tire. I thought I would install the 5th tire on the spare under the truck, but it turned out that the spare is a 16" rim instead of 17" like the rest of them...so now I have to buy one more cheap 17" rim that'll go under the bed for the spare. I got the regular Kings, not the extended travel..

Sounds about right. I'm about $5000 into my setup excluding install. I'll install myself.

Like I said last night when I was drinking... I bought the exact same setup that you did. Same AAL, UCA, Shocks, Wheels and Tires... The only difference is that I got the extended travel version of the Kings which, per King, are only 1/4" longer due to the removal of a 1/4" overlap spacer. You're the first person I've seen with this exact setup, so maybe you can answer some questions so I don't have to continue to worry about it.

    Is there any rub?
If so, is it on the cab mount?
Before and after measurements (hub to wheel well)?
Is the truck level or raked one way or the other?
Did you max out the fronts?
If not, how much thread is left?
Did you correct for Taco lean by dialing in a little more preload than the passenger side?
Any comments or concerns I may be missing?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have any offset or backspacing with the wheels to prevent rubbing? Do you have any rubbing issues? Thanks. I am doing this exact same setup.

Rub can always be helped by adding more caster. When you get an alignment after installing the suspension ask for 4 degrees (or as close as you can get to) of caster instead of stock (I think its 2.5 degrees). This will push the wheels forward in the wheel well away from the cab mount

So far, no rub, but I haven't taken it off road yet and put it through the tests. I, personally, didn't do measurements, but Dirt Trenz told me that I gained 2" from it, front and back. I was hoping it would end up dead level (haven't put a level on it yet), but I was asked right before the install, if that wasn't possible, did I want it raked front up or front down. Adding the Icon AAL in addition to the factory leafs may have made it a little higher in the back end..the other option was to remove a factory leaf before adding the Icon, which may have put the front end higher. I chose to add it to the existing and see what it looks like. Looks to me like both ends went up evenly (2") and that it still has the factory rake with the rear end a tiny bit higher. When I go in for te 500 mile retorque, they said they'd remove a factory leaf if I didn't like it...but I actually love how it looks now, so I'm going to leave it. As far as Taco Lean...that's the first I've heard of that, sorry..and as I didn't install the lift myself, I'm not sure what they did... Sorry I couldn't give you better answers, but that's all I know for now. The real test for the rub will be taking it out and using it. No, the fronts are not maxed out. They told me that if they did that, the ride would be too stiff.

I had to ditch the factory rims because I was told the factory offset wasn't sufficient enough to avoid rubbing on the UCA's. The Method's have a different offset on them, but I can't remember what it is. I can find out if you really need to know. No rub yet anywhere, but it hasn't been off road yet.

You dont have to disassemble the strut. The spacer bolts on the top of the strut using the factory strut mount studs/nuts. The spacer is drilled and tapped for either studs or bolts. When you reinstall it, you have to rotatr the assembly 180 deg. for the spacer bolt holes to line up with the mount.
