Done. Just three hours, a shovel and my 54 year old aching back, and knees and shoulders ridden with arthritis, not to mention a SLAP tear in the right one.

You likely already know it but you get 10% off at Lowe's and Home Depot with your retired military ID. My retired ID is almost 20 years old now and starting to delaminate suppose I should get a new one. Especially considering the guy that looks back at me in the picture doesn't quite look like the same anymore

With that said I got my blower through the Military Exchange. Back before they went to crap.

Top pic is about 830 this morning, untouched snow is kinda peaceful. Then there's the work, took me 2 hours to dig out and I'm sure I'll be back out there this afternoon. Everyone please stay safe shoveling out.

Yep, use that discount at both stores all the time. Pays the sales tax and a little more... always thank them for providing that discount to veterans every time I go there. And yeah, my ID is now 14 years old and I barely resemble the guy in the mug shot.

I never go to the exchange or the commissary even though I live just three miles from an Army base (Ft Detrick). I find better deals online or local stores.

My Troy Bilt is about 15 years old and works well.IMG_7678.jpg

But, when I shoveled off the deck last night, I tossed over the boot scraper. I found it though, with the snow blower. It came to a sudden halt, till I un-jammed it,lol

    morning boys!!!

Happy to hear you survived the quake Rob.

Also happy to hear the snow has stopped and the sun is out for you guys in the path of the storm. Some beautiful pics!!! Hope you guys recover from your snow shoveling fast. If I lived in those areas, snow blower is definitely on the list of things to get!!!

I've got an 8/24 Snapper that's about the same age. It cranks along great for only 8 hp, I just wish I could find an effective cab for the windy days--one that's not too short or fogs up too much

Not too kind. I normally dig out 15 feet in each direction so she can pull up and pull out. Not THIS snow. Sorry, she's going to have to get out of the truck and take a few steps. None of my neighbors did any more than I did so I'm hoping she won't smash all my packages for the next three months.

Damn. What a rough weekend. Just came back from work. Spent two nights in nearby hotel to stay close to work.
Came home to a ton of snow on the driveway. There's kind of a natural vortex in my driveway that happens when the wind blows. It's irritating when all the neighborhood leaves land on my driveway. But its absolutely horrible when snows pile up into 6 foot high drifts. I'm going to bed now. I'm hoping all this is gone when I wake up.

    ahhh... let a man dream....

Troybilt snowblower with tracks is gonna get a work out when I wake up.

My neighbors a part time red neck and he was out pushing the snow with his Deere John and blade. He was nice enough to clear my mailbox for me. May cost me some beer but cheaper than an aching back!
