    Not really.

As stated above. The 04 is throttle is fly by wire...ie..electronic. Before that it was a mechanical system.

Have to swap whole wiring harnesses and ecus. Plus the stick.

    Not worth it.

Find a cc ecu module and control mod in a junk truck and just add it that way

Yeah bud. A big pain in the ass. I learned the hard way. You would have to swap your throttle body, ecu, dash harness, engine harness and engine bay fuse box to run a 04 cruise control. And who knows if the 04 engine harness is compatible with an 00.

I have p0037 and I found this trouble shooting link for it. There are 4 wires on the back of my 02. Two blacks, one blue and one white. When I test the white and blue I get nothing and when I test the two blacks I get 11. In the picture the way the plug looks the 02 test right.

So does anyone know if the two black wires are supposed to be ground? And the blue and white is where i should be getting my number?

    Yes it did lol
It is there and I have cc but I just wanted to swap my steering wheel from my 04 to my 00 but I guess the harnesses are different and I was wondering if I could take the actual control for it off the 00 steering wheel and put it on the 04 steering wheel!

The cruise control on my 01 is terrible. It just kills my fuel mileage on any type of hill.

It took me a few tries to get it to line up right, but when it did it just popped right in. No different amount of force than you would expect for a bulb that small

I swapped the fuse and relay from my old fuse box that didn't fix it. I tested the ECU with ground and I got 12.34 volts. @Blackdawg needing your expertise.

When you call DSM to make an order, let them know you are a forum member. They will take an additional 5% off. At least for me that is what they did. YMMV

That's the way mine was until I regeared. Regearing put it back to the stock behavior which isn't perfect but a whole lot better. Big tires on stock gears throw off the way the CC works.

How did the fluid film hold up? Does it collect snow and debris or just reflect it? My stepdad swears by the stuff and cakes it on his Tacoma every fall. Looks like a bit of a mess to apply?

That's why you turn off cruise control on any hill - going up or down. Going up just throttles it so kills your mpgs, going down it releases the throttle so you kind of cruise. Instead of letting it cruise, use your gas pedal down the hill to pick up a bit of speed so you do not have to regain it at the bottom again (since going down hill, uses less gas to go faster).

It's in a spray can so it's no too terrible. It goes on in a thin coat of brownish colored liquid. I will probably pressure wash the crap out of my truck in a couple of weeks. Since it doesn't snow in Nashville too much, I'll just get some more if we are expecting snow again. It's basically like spraypaint the way it goes on.

Personally I don't think the Boss system is worth it. It's just Eibach coils and Bilstein 5100 shocks turned into a coilover, right?

If so, I would just go with the regular 5100's and eibachs or, better yet, get real coilovers such as Fox, King, Icon, or ADS.
