Are you talking about going to Big Bend National Park or Big Bend Ranch State Park? There is a significant accommodations and wheeling difference. I was at the state park after Christmas and it is a very cool place to check out but requires a pretty prepared person to go out there. It is a great place to check out though.

I'd like to go to the Ranch state park. I hear there's better trails there.

Take a group. I think 3-4 rigs would be a good sized group IMO for the unmaintained roads.

That's what draws me to it. "requires a pretty prepared person to go out there" I go to these parks to get away from everyone. Camping 10 feet from a family of 10 from jersey isn't my bag.
Camping 10 miles away from anyone is my bag.

Then you will like the State Park. We only talked to other people when we wanted to. The nice thing is the people you come across out there are usually like-minded so they are nice to talk with.

April 7th through the 11th sounds pretty good to me. But it really depends on when everyone else can go. Cause I can take off anytime.
