Don't know how you came to that assumption, and here I was thinking of helping with a suspension swap.o_O

I honestly have never heard complaints from the AF side, unless it's about having to use other branches' facilities.

    Example:
I was at a joint AF/Navy school where they all bitched about the food at the Navy galley. The galley had won 2nd place in the states(for Navy bases). I thought it was outstanding compared to the shit they served on the ships.

Oh come on guys lol. All I was getting at was I just wasn't fond of the way the military works these days. I just dont like being constrained by everything and having to worry about PT tests, eprs, volunteer shit, etc.

I find it very stupid that if I don't have much for education stuff or volunteer crap for my epr, I get marked down significantly and don't have the ability to progress as easily rank wise since someone else who sucks at their fucking job gets a 5 because they kiss ass and have so many volunteer jink on their EPR. I'm over here doing good at my job but getting 3s and 4s because I don't get much volunteer shit done because of work. The whole thing is stupid in my opinion, next to being treated like 2 year olds all the time and having to much sexual harassment training, it's just leaving a very bad taste in my mouth for the military. Even though yes, it is the air force and I am glad I chose this branch, I just hate how everything is ran. Really makes me not want re-enlist. The whole thing is being ran more like a corporation than a military branch. They are more worried about tests than job performance.

Rant over lol, no need to get feisty with each other haha

That sounds like the last command I was at. Never mind that I could crank out overhauled hydraulic components with a zero failure rate, but if you're not willing to play the game, you don't get the evals. If I had a do over, I would have gone back to back squadrons and never pick the shore-duty command.

Let's find something to volunteer for if it'll help your evals. Trail cleanup, or a beach cleanup maybe?

What is the education thing? Classes you take off duty?

Yeah, college courses, CCAF (community college of the air force). I just haven't gotten around to that.

I was thinking about doing a trail cleanup thing or something like that. Go have some fun on the ranges and clean up whenever we find something or something.

I just hate how political things are getting in the airforce as well. I don't like the fact that I have to play the game just to progress or do well in the military. My job is to be an Air Traffic Controller, not to rack up more volunteer bullets than someone else.........I'll stick with my 3s and 4s if that means I'm doing my job to the best of my abiltiy

I have a contact at the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge if you're interested in volunteering. They usually look for someone who can take a regular shift, but for an active duty member I'm sure they'd be flexible.
    They're out on Okaloosa island.

Not to sound like the 'old man NCO', but if you guys ever want any pointers or guidance on how to make your EPRs look better or your careers a little more bearable... get in touch with me. We can hash out some mentoring/counseling/life pro tips over lunch.

I get and agree with most of the frustrations in the AF. The other stuff is usually people complaining or young guys not fully understanding the process because they have shitty NCOs.

Damp and cold. Really cold. No snow, no crazy wind... But a lil breeze. Nothing crazy.

Yeah its just cold here lol, very cold lol. Anyone wanna help with a wiring harness tomorrow? I really want to get this damn thing finished already. I'm tired of getting stuck. Blinkers and stop lights work, but the headlights and tailights need to be wired up to the relays and fuse box and wiring will be done

Complaining about being stuck in vegas? lol?

Well I at least need everything done before mid March realistically. Mostly the harness and transmission put in. Then I'll have to go get the driveshaft cut down to fit the new tranny

Honestly it's pretty boring out here. It's expensive as hell and we are getting 19$ a day. So that barely covers 1meal lol. Hell even a gyro was 13$ lol. So saving money for my lift!!

If I was in Vegas, I'd go straight to L&L Hawaiian BBQ and get a plate lunch and two Lilikoi juices...and a Spam musubi to go.
