Hello everyone, terribly sorry if this is posted somewhere but I've searched and been unable to find anything so...posting a thread on it.

I've got an All Pro pack rack that I wouldn't mind mounting a Pelican case to like in this picture to use as an aid kit. I was wondering has anyone here done something similar? And if so, how'd you do it?

    Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they just drilled through the case and bolted it from the inside. I don't have a pack each but I did put a pelican on top of my roof rack. Just drilled through the case and bolted it down, slightly harder to steal that way.image.jpg

You will want to look on motorcycle forums. A lot of guys use those to make luggage for their bikes. There are ways to make them removable from the frame without opening it (important for a firat aid kit with supplies in it.)

Offensive stickers and stuff the wife doesn't know about.
Sweet setup, I love my pelican gear, just in case anyone was ever considering buying one of their coolers, I HIGHLY recommend them, we got my father in law one for fathers day since he always bought large crappy coolers and he is never without a beer (the most highly functioning alcoholic I have ever met). He loves his cooler and I got mine the next year, absolutely love it. Keeps ice for 6-10 days (6 was in like 100+ deg wx), also lifetime warranty on everything! Not cheap of course (nothing pelican is) but if it's the last cooler you'll need to buy for shit maybe a decade isn't it worth it. I got mine on opticsplanet.com.

Someone had a set for sale, claimed no leaks with bolts through them attached to roof racks.

I'd suggest some thick ruber washers on both sides of the case, crushed with nuts like the packing gland on a drive shaft.

I know how they were mounted.
It's a picture of my truck
I just drilled holes backed it up with thick fender washers and a dab of silicone in the holes.
I use to carry recovery gear in one box and misc gear in the 2nd box

Exactly how I did mine, rubber washers on each side. Zero leaks, and I live in England so they're rained on constantly

Thanks man. The plate you have the cases mounted on, is that just a sheet of metal you welded to the rack?

Yes I had it put on so I could mount the cases, tracks and shovels, I don't remember how thick it was though.
