Why does every simple mod turn in to a shit show.

Trying to get my bolt on Gibson exhaust to not bang around. Had it welded up so the clamps would be done with. But I have this bolt and mount hitting on EVERY SINGLE bump. So I looked and the collector where it bolts to stock cat and it's a little crooked so I pull the bolts out to swap them. Ones longer than that other so in hopes to move it away from that brake line mount I wanted to flip them. Well they stripped removing them. The bolt and the nut that's on the cat. So now I'm running around trying to find replacement bolts and the dye so I can tap out the OEM collector bolt.

I might have to make my own L bracket to move away from the exhaust. Gibson really fucked the pooch on this design.

Anyone running the at2 in a c load? Thinking of switching from my e load St maxx tires. The heavy St maxx is killing me commuting. Just a little afraid of the thinner c for off-roading punctures.

Depends on how much I can save. If I go 285 ill have to get a CMC for sure, so ill have to factor that in my cost of wanting 285's.

You can retap to one size larger bolt and it works (I did this on my truck and still running strong). And instead of doing a bracket, Amazon sells stainless steel zip ties that are awesome to exhaust massaging.

I ended up finding the M10x1.25 tap and die that worked well. Was a bitch to get in there around the cat but it's done and revolted.

The previous two bolts were different sizes so it had the angle of the piping slanted which caused it to be closer to the brake line bracket above. Now that the bolts are correct lengths it centered it and is away from it. I still flipped the bracket and had it pivoted out of the way. No more noise finally.

Nananana. The turkey day was fantastic. His first mod day was way back. Before shop. Back when he was welding in his backyard.

The first time I was ever at the house was to load the truck with stuff for the "new" shop.
