You were fine because your truck has something of a built in snorkel. If you took your right fender off, this is what you would see...

As long as you leave your wheel well liners in (*cough* @Rattletrap66 *cough*) and you're not in water up to your door handles, you should be fine even if the bow wave comes up over the hood (been there and done that).

That's more like inexperience and not being properly prepared than an issue with mud. ;) I've done 100% more damage to the OGT climbing hills and rocks than I have playing in mud, but you don't see me giving up on it, do ya?

If this is the trail 11 washout, just south of trail 6, then dammit, it looks like they ruined it again. :annoyed:

@TuffTaco03 -- one suggestion, add the trail number to the pics so we'll know what we're looking at. The place changes so much over a short period of time that it's hard to identify where it is the picture was taken just from memory.

Oh that's pretty cool I didn't know that. We were definitely up to and past the door handles if I was in automatic we would have stalled and been stuck. I got lucky for sure and it was a lot of fun hahahahaha. Had the wife and all 3 kids so the extra weight didn't help I'm sure, but it was exciting haha.

That used to be the bypass. :D

On the other hand, the washout on trail 14 looks nastier than ever.

The situation, which has been previously mentioned, is thus: we currently have about 50+ trucks on the camping list. The Holder Mine Campground only has about 15-20 RV sites and there's no guarantee we will have the campground to or selves. Those of us going early are going to try to spread out as much as possible to to occupy as many RV sites as possible. Those of you coming later might want to try to buddy up with an early arrival to share a site. I'll start with the folks I know off the top of my head will be there early. Just cut and paste the lists into a new post and add yourself on your preferred spot. I think @michaelrussell and @Alfuh will be there early, but I'm not positive.

If you want to be in the pin-striping, ain't skeerd of a little mud on the trail, trail exploration group (lots of riding with minimal stopping) on Saturday, put yer name on this list. @Rattletrap66, @GuyHuey and any one I forgot that has volunteered to be a trail guide, you guys don't have to get on the list. This is mainly to see how many we are going to have to divide between us. The other types of groups, aka: the ones that want to avoid the tight trails and pin striping are kinda on their own at the momentsince nobody has stepped forward to lead them.

Sorry to interrupt during these awesome photos/conversation for them. But I have access to these "Jugs" from work if anyone is interested in them. Intended use would be potable drinking water storage for camping/trail trips, emergency weather water storage. The following specs are as follows:

    -5 Gal Container
-They are HDPE 2 grade. I am not going to get into specifics with specs and capabilities but it will contain water up to 230F. Just google HDPE 2 grade thick wall and get all specs you want (Very similar to the feel, quality and thickness of the large blue plastic 55 Gal Drums) They WILL take abuse in a bed on trail rides TRUST ME.
    - It is capable of holding Gasoline without issues for weekend trail trips etc.
-They have 2.5" main opening with a solid unless drilled out (my own simple drill bit work) Nipple behind handle with available cap. Drilling out is obviously to release vacuum for smooth flowing if turned over.
-All of these were filled with Polymer Phosphate from factory used to control Calcium/Magnesium in Hard Water, they are not harmful to fill with water before cleaning, we add this solution to our potable drinking water in the water utility world. I have personally Emptied and cleaned each and every one with Cl2 100% commercial grade Chlorine. You will have NO issue if intended use is to store potable drinking water for camping trips/emergency weather etc...
    - They are Water tight sealed with paper gaskets in lid IF rear nipple isn't drilled. I have not personally tested one that has been drilled and am not saying it is or isn't I just don't want to tell yall something if I have never tested.

At the moment I have 10 since I have just thought about distributing them to everyone. By Citrus I may have up to 15 possibly 20 but will consume more if I have a demand to with yalls responses for future meets. I will sell them for $10 a piece if interested.

I think @michaelrussell and @Alfuhwill be there early, but I'm not positive.

    "Ain't Skeerd" list...

If you want to be in the pin-striping, ain't skeerd of a little mud on the trail, trail exploration group (lots of riding with minimal stopping) on Saturday, put yer name on this list. @Rattletrap66,@GuyHuey and any one I forgot that has volunteered to be a trail guide, you guys don't have to get on the list. This is mainly to see how many we are going to have to divide between us. The other types of groups, aka: the ones that want to avoid the tight trails and pin striping are kinda on their own at the momentsince nobody has stepped forward to lead them.
