Okay, just went and tested it out at Fiesta Island and DEFINITELY have rubbing after King Suspension/Total Chaos UCA 2" lift with 285/70/17 BFG's! :/ I'd actually heard it a couple times just backing up on pavement with the wheels turned, but at the time, I wasn't sure what it was. Took some pics of where I saw it rubbing and posted it below. Told the installer and he said it was an easy fix by cranking up the front a little bit and..maybe getting ride of some plastic. The metal is only 1/8" to 1/4" behind the plastic though, so here's hoping that I don't need to chop anything. Here are the pics...okay no pics for now..internet is giving me grief so I'll post them when I can.

I figured. I was anticipating the need for CMC. Look forward to pics. Let me know if cranking the front shocks up a bit corrects any rubbing.

You might be able to get that corrected with a better alignment

Doesn't look bad at all. Front and rear inner fender well? Or just one or the other?

Front and rear of the front. I'm going to put off doing anything about it until I go in for my 500 mile retorque so I can do a few things at once.

I have a similar lift set up with same exact wheels.

I achieved about a 2.5-2.75 lift in the front with my toytec 5100 coilover set up and my right side rubs with any spring compression while turning.
I've been through 2 alignments now and no fix.

Only on the right side though, cab mount area.

@calvinroks I noticed in the post quoted above you wrote the wheel size is 280/70/17, but in this thread, you wrote they are 285/70/17. Which is it?

I am looking to piece together this same setup, love the look! But, want to know which tire size is causing this rub issue for you.

    thanks

CMC it is. I'll just plan on doing it when I do the install. Thanks.

Oops my bad. Typo. I edited and fixed it. Thanks for pointing that out. Sorry about the confusion. The tires are 285/70/17's

Is it rubbing the sway bar also? from the pic it looks like it. That would worry me more than the plastic splash guard.

Not to my knowledge. I don't even know what the sway bar is in there but as far as I could see it was only the front and back of the wheel wells. The lift shop will check it all out when I go in for my retorque.

The picture that shows the tire turned outwards. Take a look at the bar in the background. It has a clean spot down to the paint. Just wondering.

I see what you're looking at. I don't think it's that, but I'll take a closer look next time I think about it.

What are the off-roading rules at Fiesta Island? Is it legal to drive off the road and down toward the water?
