    You sound good. Depending on what antenna you pick up ou may or may not need a meter. I got a non-cutable... spell check someone. And i also cut into the coax and did a second ground. Actually tested the ground off the battery and antenna to coax coupler. To make sure line was good all the way. Although you can get lots of clutter what can be fixed by proper (rf) not the gain. Gain makes it louder, adjustment i think it we can talk clear and exclusive. But still learning.
