No I don't eat any frozen meat. All fresh meat. There's nothing wrong with frozen, I just don't want to take the time to thaw it out. Haha I can't remember the two brands of chicken breasts, one is Hermitage Farms (I think) and can't remember the other. Chicken breasts with rib meat is what they are. 1 pound is 738 calories, 16g of fat and 139g of protein at $1.99 a pound. Chicken breasts also contain bcaa's at about 23g per pound, which helps immensely with muscle recovery, stamina and mental sharpness. I buy 5+ pounds at a time and grill it all together then have 3 days of meals in the fridge. Very lean protein and easily the best bang for the buck.

It's always amazed me how broke people, including collage kids, stash up on shit like Ramon noodles and bread or just eat McDonalds when all of those are more expensive and way worse for you then chicken breasts. They are also extremely easy to cook so you can study or whatever while cooking. Whether on a grill or oven, takes me about 45 mins and flipping them over once after about 20 mins. That's it.

 

Oh shit, I'll look into them next time I'm at the store. I've just been buying 6lbs at a time of frozen kroger brand breast for like $6 for 3lbs but if I can get good fresh chicken for that price then I'd rather do that. How long would it stay fresh in the fridge? I don't have enough grill space to do more than maybe 2pounds at a time or do it in a skillet maybe 1.5lbs at a time. Which would mean I could bake all of it at once but I'm not a huge fan of baked chicken.

 

I’m sure i would but it does not make me sick so i’ll keep drinking it daily till it does with the hope that it never does!

I melt some real butter and pour that on it and put this. Put in oven around 365

Hope you guys don't mind that I've been "stalking" this thread. I moved away from Clarksville, TN a year ago and now I'm looking at possibly coming back the Clarksville around Aug time frame. Looking forward to coming back out there. You guys seem like a great group and an active one at that.

 

Mine won't fit there, too big fits nicely in the tail light though...

I buy all my meat on Sunday for the whole week. Usually cook a sirloin Sunday night, salmon Monday night, Turkey burger Tuesday night, chicken breasts Wed night. So at least 3 days. And for reference I eat something like 3/4 pound of chicken per meal so you could make 3 meals out of 2 pounds.

 

I will buy around 5-6lbs of chicken breast and just individual wrap each chicken breast in ziplock bags in the freezer.
