well, as some of you know, I am working hard to become a Firefighter, training had everyday, and learning as much as I can before I go to school.

So I am also a member of Firehall.com, and I posted a "running" thread, which ended up being me updating on my running, like times and distance.

then last night I post my newest time and for some reason this guy just didn't wanna hear about it...

that kinda thing really gets to you when your trying really hard and looking for inspiration.

Really, bud, we don't care about your lack of inspiration. ;)

Motivation is hard to come by and internet forums, even this one, will have their share of internet tough guys. Stick to your goals and keep posting your progress. View it as a means of tracking your own progress rather than a source of motivation and the naysayers won't affect you as much.

You have your goals. Keep busting your ass to reach them!

BTW, that's a sweet time for 2 miles.

The guy is just pissed because at the end of his 30 minute mile there isn't someone waiting there with a Jelly doughnut, and a jar of gummy worms.
    Screw him. :D

I haven't heard someone described as a "burn out" since high school. Brings back memories.

Those guys weren't much for conversation but they usually drove some pretty badass cars!

If I had to run 2 miles, I'd have to have someone with me that knows CPR. Don't let people get to you with pissy comments, it's good that you can motivate yourself to get in shape........I wish I could!

Just do what you have to do to get through it. The fire service is a competitive field and on those forums they see people come and go with I wanna do this I wanna do that. I have become a great firefighter without the use of online forums for support just do what you have to do.

Don't worry about some random guy. Every forum has people like that. If you let them get to you, they win.
