They're just tiny things, maybe 1 to 2 feet long. I've been bit a bunch of times, they don't even hurt lol. Spiders on the other hand, :infantry:

Off topic from the cluster death's, but in line with stowaway critters in general, I have had mice get in my cab on more than one occasion, they get in through the vents if they are left opened for fresh air.

If I ever saw a black widow in there, I'd have to burn the truck.

I see black widows on my property all the time.

    we
we have lots of those as well-mostly in the firewood... they are actually really fun to play with and they keep the spiders and cockroaches down while being completely harmless and free... the kids love them!

it also seems to be a popular thing to release a black snake in the basement to keep mice down around here too... works amazing for this and you don't find the mutilated dead bodies on your floor or have to empty traps...
    really a win-win-win on both!

i have seen a 4 1/2 foot long black snake slip through a section of 3/4'' pvc pipe that is 8 feet long and also under a hall door with less than 1/2'' gap on the bottom so i'm sure a garter could get in a car door especially if you left the seat belt hanging out the bottom part like most of us do at some point ... only needs about 1/4'' or so and the door seal squishes some... not to mention all the holes in the firewall and vent system!

They really are harmless little guys, most of em will let you pick them up without even trying to bite which is always cool. I've found a couple in my house, usually they're hanging out in the radiators. I'll catch em and put em outside again. If it's winter I'll put them in my wood pile in the basement.
