    Hey TW!

Its about time I make a build page. I hope you all enjoy my adventures between bone stock and my dream of a desert prerunner. Hope you like it.

    Currently: IMG_0036.jpg

It all started in the late summer of '15
This is the day I rolled it off the lot, 20 miles. Exactly what I wanted, DCSB Magnetic Grey, Prerunner, TRD Sport Package. Bought through the COSTCO Program, I got such a killer deal that from now on I'll always buy from them.

    -Nothing yet

    -Flat black badges (all)
-4.7" TRD black carbon fiber antenna

    On the Way
-Pelfreybilt Aluminum Front bumper, no hoops, matte black
-Pelfreybilt Standard Plate bumper, matte black

    So heres how it went...

First thing I had to was put in some real floormats.
    IMG_0003.jpg
    IMG_0004.jpg

Then it was time for the badges, a little scary for the first time, but 7 coats later and it peeled off perfectly.
    IMG_0007.jpg
    IMG_0008.jpg
    IMG_0009.jpg
    IMG_0001.jpg

I got sick of the antenna hitting stuff so I downsized, doesn't matter for me cause I have XM radio.
    IMG_0006.jpg

Got new Black Spec-D Taillights installed by @csjumper2003 when I got his interior Led light kit (white) as well as a matte black bedside decal.

    IMG_0015.jpg
    IMG_0010.jpg

Then I pulled the trigger on new wheels and tires, I couldn't even wait for the 500 miles to hit.

To fit the 34" TOYOs I got new Maxtrac 4" spindles. Installed at Off Road Warehouse.
    IMG_0016.jpg
    IMG_0018.jpg
    IMG_0017.jpg
    IMG_0012.jpg
    IMG_0013.jpg

I was amazed that I was running stock suspension and it handled so well.
Also prior to the wheels and tires I had 15% ceramic tint installed.
    IMG_0011.jpg

I started liking what I was seeing :)
    IMG_0004.jpg
    IMG_0002.jpg
    IMG_0006.jpg
    IMG_0003.jpg
    IMG_0007.jpg

I read about light bars and decided to go with GG's G4 30" LED light bar for the lower valance.
    IMG_0026.jpg
    IMG_0008.jpg
    IMG_0009.jpg
    IMG_0029.jpg

Fit perfectly. And was as bright as a little lower valance sun. The 2 outer lenses are flood and the 3 inner are spot. Perfect combination for what I was looking for. But 2 weeks later I placed an order for a pelfreybilt front bumper and realized that this 30" sun and its home was about to go in the next couple of months so I returned it. Used the credits for GG's super bright G3 Pods and 2 20" SR lightbars. One white and one amber for my new grille and bumper that I was expecting.
I got CBI's Ditch light brackets and mounted some pods with the help of @csjumper2003
And installed the Rigid Grille with GG's SR 20"

Its not the LT Desert prerunner that I often dream of, but it is the truck I wanted since I was 17 and already has given me more adventure than I ever thought. Often I get caught up with the next mod or thing on the wishlist, but then I remember, I have a tacoma and tacomas are fricken awesome.

Thanks for checking out the build, stay tuned for the new bumpers, fiberglass, and LT
    -Richard

Nice truck. I love Pismo. It was my favorite place to play off-road when I lived in California.

Have you been to Glamis?! puts pismo to shame man! haha- if you haven't been- put it on your bucket list and go on a off weekend or even better during the week! it's the shiz nit! I use to work for a major Japanese M/C OEM in R&D- would go testing for weeks. Loved it man!

I have, too many times to count. I love the dunes. But, something about the dunes + the ocean makes Pismo my favorite. I live in Oklahoma now so I probably won't be going to Glamis anytime soon but we do have Little Sahara here.

Nice! I like Pismo too just hate the fact that limited-its a tease! Haha. Back in the day when it was safe, Baja was so much fun! Dunes outside of Rosarito. Grew up going as a kid with my family-we had a beach house and would ride and take our 4WD trucks up and down the beach! so much fun- my pops broke in his 4WD T-100 which is a bad ass truck-still has to this day! you are right man- riding on dunes with ocean as back drop -cant get any better!

Like said- I use to go testing a lot with my old job. A really cool spot is in Oregon- I think its called Coo's bay or something like that. They had this event called Dune fest . Dunes along the Oregon coast- beautiful spot to ride! would have big pines in the middle of the snow.

Made some changes with the new flowmaster 40 muffler and @Pelfreybilt bumpers on the front and rear. Check out the 360 Degree walk around:
