I live 15 minutes away from here and just sold my Tundra to a guy I met on craigslist. This freaked me out

Craigslist isn't any more risky than a For-Sale ad in the local newspaper. Meet at a public place with security cameras, like a gas station.

 

True now as always. McDonalds parking lot works for me. Take a friend, tell him to just stand back and watch. He'll look very nice wearing a loose coat.

Used to be some old school truck tire guys would spray ether starting fluid into a tire then toss in a match to get it to seat the bead on the rim. Really bad for several reasons, the most obvious one being exploding the tire if you use too much. Also, the ether fumes will break down the rubber after a bit, basically rotting the tire from the inside out.

 

ive used gas to reseat my tire on the bead 3 different times.. works like a charm every single time.

if your out in the middle of nowhere 50 miles away from anyone.... its the best way to do it.

drizzle gas in the tire, light it, then once it pops on the bead put the flame on the tire out! the fire inside the tire dies due to no oxygen.
