Thanks a bunch! I actually haven't seen it in person yet. I think they want a lot of money for it and that is why I am not sure if that is the route that I will go. I really like relentless fab as well as Pelfreybilt. So we shall see. Also… I am pretty sure that I will not be doing the high clearance bumper again. So a standard bumper with dual swing outs. Any suggestions are welcome

As you said Pelfrey or Relentless. Im not sure if Pelfrey has dual swing outs but im sure they'd be up to the task once their huge rush of orders calms down

On a sidenote… small mod I ordered one of these. The cupholder situation in the automatics suck! This little guy will replace the two rubber pains in my ass in the front of my shifter. I will also be ordering a large marine drop in cupholder to replace the tiny waste of space cupholder behind the shift knob. I know it is a little thing but I do a ton of traveling so I always have several drinks going on… Coffee… Now Jean… Cold beer(just kidding :spy:)!

I think in 2011 or 2012 they stopped putting that little divider and started putting these two rubberized pieces of shit! They are very tiny and always get stuck to the bottom of whatever cup you put in them. I have no idea why they did this

For a rear bumper, I want dual swingouts also - one long one is a PITA with a trailer.

I ordered a PelfreyBuit, and am having them add dual swingout hinges. I am going to build the swingouts myself, to ensure they clear my trailer.

Just a thought, if you want to do some fabrication.

My good friend Baker! He is an FJ dude and his FJ has taken on a persona of its own (as I suppose all of our rigs do over time). He has a sweet website with all kinds of goodies including these decals. They came out rad and I will prob be getting some other of his decals and stuff. He just got back from a huge road trip with over 10,000 miles! He truly lives up to his "Travel America" decals! Check him out!!

Had a great trip this weekend. I got to do a lot of exploring out in Colorado, hang out with good friends, test out the limits of my new rig, and enjoy seeing the pup play in the snow for the first time! Spoiler alert… She had an absolute blast and so did I! I was very happy with the performance of Turok and learned a lot of things about snow wheeling. A lot of people asked me if it was worth the 18 Hour Drive both ways for just two days… It was worth every second to be up in the mountains in Colorado with the beautiful weather and great friends. My buddy Jake took all of these photos. He is truly talented and makes me look way cooler than I actually am.

Think @zscott had them a while ago and have had a couple other traction ramps, he would have a good comparable opinion. I have 2 sets of TREDs, they have worked well when needed and are moderately priced. Just don't do burnouts on them. I got mine from Boss 4x4 with free shipping and a TW10 discount may still apply.

I have never used the Maxsa version but I own and have used Treds, Maxtrax, and the Smittybilt Element Ramps.

All of them are good and serve a purpose but if I were to rate them I would put the maxtrax at the top for sure and then the other 2 would be tied.

    Maxtrax -
    Best Traction Design
    Best Construction Quality
Best Overall Design (stacking ability, overall size, ability to link, good handles)

    TRED-
Poor Traction Design (Lugs are small compared to others and not as agressive)
Good Construction Quality (Near Equal or equal to Maxtrax)
Poor Overall Design (They only go one direction, Can't link them together, the handles suck, and they are deeper so snow and mud get stuck in them and they become HEAVY.

    Smittybilt -
Good Traction Design (Just as aggressive as Maxtrax if not more)
Poor Construction Quality (They have lasted well but are much more fragile than the others)
Fair Overall Design (They have the same size, features as maxtrax, just not as well executed)

If I were to buy a set again I would probably get either the smittybilt or the maxtax. The smittybilt have lasted well but I know they wont outlast the maxtrax. They are cheap though. I could by 3 sets of them for the cost of the maxtrax. The maxtrax are just awesome, but as mentioned they are expensive.

The TREDs aren't a bad product but they just don't shine in my opinion. The new TRED Pros look nicer tread wise but I still dislike the handles and the fact that they are directional.
