My wife and her sister are training for a marathon they're doing in March and after I left the gym today I rode all around town trying to find them and when I did, I blasted Eye of the Tiger out the windows and followed them for about a minute. They were pissed lol. I tried to video it, but I couldn't play the YouTube video and record at the same time.

Friday evening I did my first workout in about 4 months due to lack of motivation, school schedule, and work schedule.
I'm still sore, I haven't been this sore since I started working out and I've never stayed sore this long, I took amino acids and that barely helped where it usually makes my soreness disappear in a few hours.
My trainer wanted me to workout again today and I told her I'd think about it but probably not, she wasn't very happy when my family showed up to workout but I didn't.

So...you've been sore for 2 days? My legs are typically sore for 3 or 4 days when I hit them hard.

Aminos might help, but they're not gonna be a total cure for your soreness.

Best way to make the soreness go away? Go do more activity. Get the lactic acid out of your body. Should have gone and trained like your trainer suggested.

Usually no matter how hard I train I'm only sore for that evening and the next morning.

I've been fairly active the last 2 days, been doing maintenance on a boat we're going to sell, nor real active but not sedentary either.

People have called it similar to crossfit.

I don't even really get sore anymore. I will get cramps sometimes the night that I do my lifts, but I rarely feel anything the next day. I might be tired/weak, but the DOMS are pretty much gone. I am sure when I begin my cut here in a month (or less) they will start to return though.

Yea, I was just throwing out an example...because that's really the only time I'm sore anymore. Even though I hit legs 3 times a week...I still get sore.

I still think training would have helped. My job is typically pretty active (purchasing manager at a furniture store...which also involves picking up and moving furniture...all the freakin time...) but I'm still sore. It's gonna take more than boat maintenance.

Sometimes I'll try to go for a run the day after I do legs. It helps get rid of the soreness quicker.

I only get sore if I do an exercise I don't do a lot. A lack of DOMS doesn't mean you're not growing. DOMS isn't a bad thing...it means your muscles are getting worked out. I don't really believe all the hype about BCAA's and aminos helping, but to each his own. Eat your food and train and relish being sore b/c it means you did something your muscles aren't used to.

I don't get that sore either except after a deload week. I usually spend the 1st week back pretty sore everyday. Like sack said, I get sore if I hit something out of the norm. I started playing flag football last summer regularly and after the 1st few games my legs were noodles for a few days but after I got in the rhythm of weekly playing I wasn't near as sore after a game. I'm also not a fan of BCAAs. Last time I took them my nose started bleeding so I have sworn them off ever since

Walked into the gym and noticed how close a few guys were to the mirror. Blocking access to dumbbells. They looked like they were all staring deeply into their own eyes just waiting for the perfect moment to go in for a kiss.

This weekend is a buddy's bday party. We've got a cabin for Friday and Saturday nights. It's a joint party for him and his girlfriend's dad. It's gonna be a rough weekend. I should probably drink 3 liters of water a day until Friday...

The only time I think they'd ever be beneficial is if you're training fasted, which I think is stupid anyway

you gotta have a little foreplay before you bust straight into the action

I love/dread those weekends. Don't get me wrong, I usually have a whiskey drink or 5 every Saturday, but the big parties always kill me now. In college and a short time after, I used to be able to pound beers until 2-3 am, get up and workout the next day no problem. Now, if I drink more than 6-7 drinks, I'm worthless the next day. Although, it is fun, it's bad for my diet b/c the only thing that makes me feel better is fried food lol...and when I'm drinking, I completely stop eating, which sucks, too. But for sanity's sake, you gotta get shitfaced every now and then lol. What do you drink?

bruh...we twinsies? Nothing beats finding a car with super tinted windows in the parking lot so you can flex your triceps as you walk by.
