Cap, incorrect rims & tires, stereo...
So I took my truck in for the cat recall, and they sent me to Enterprise for a free rental, that only cost me $31(ins. & gas)... Ended up getting a 150 mi. brand new $47K Ram 1500 4x4. Yes, it was very nice. However, it was enormous and had way too many electric/digital things going on, way too dark a window tint and giant polished rims. Plus, it was very thirsty... The dumbest feature was the digital compass, and no navigation:mad:. Even I have a Garmin in my truck... The main point is that it was too distracting & not really that useful, and I actually turned it in early. Never thought I would be so happy to sit on that awful bench seat in my little RC, again. :D The experience gave me a renewed appreciation for my truck.

Game results: Old bare bones base Tacoma 1, new fully loaded Ram 0... final

 Glad you're happy with your truck.

I rented and SUV recently while out of town. Was supposed to be a Tahoe or equivalent but, they were sold out. I ended up accepting a Jeep Compass with a CVT. HATED it with a passion. No power & worse MPG than my T4R. I'm amazed they even sell.

That said, to each their own I guess.

I rented an F150 back in 2011 for a business trip in LA. There was a big LCD in the gauge cluster already, and it showed a little Ford ad on startup. Sifting through the menus, I found an off-road info screen with inclinometers and transfer case status. The truck was 4x2.

Rentals I've had in the last few years.

    2012 (?) Pontiac Vibe
    2014 Chevrolet Malibu
    2014 Ford Explorer
    2015 Chevrolet Cruze blue
    2015 Ford Focus
    2015 Chevrolet Cruze white
    2015 Dodge Charger

The Vibe was ok, except for the fact it had 18" wheels with low pro tires on in the middle of Wisconsin snowy winter.

Malibu was comfortable but the motor lacked power, big time. It was scary trying to overtake someone and not know if you could get by in time, and all of the chrome in the interior looks nice and all but when it's a sunny day you get blinded multiple times.

Explorer was good, felt solid, a little underpowered due to the V6, averaged 18mpg (still less than my Tahoe did with the 5.3) but livable.

Both Cruze were heaps of garbage, the 1.4L Turbo or whatever is in them now makes a lot of noise but no power. Avg MPG was around 33.

Focus, had for 2 weeks, absolute garbage. Motor hesitated, constantly felt like it would die unless it was 3/4 to Full throttle. Start/stop mode in city is annoying as fuck and couldn't figure out how to shut it off. Front and rear wipers are on same toggle stick, took serious getting used to.

Charger, comfortable, interior fit and finish was great, LED(?) headlights were amazing, sound system/nav good, the V6 was quiet and had enough power to haul 3 grown men around nicely all week. Driving it pretty hard all week we still averaged 25mpg around D.C. I would consider buying one of these if I ever went back to a car, though I'd probably get the 5.7 HEMI over the V6
