    So chad just drove my mom to work and like I said all that is on there is my bike. And by my bike moving by normal movements the cross really move a lot. The HiLift mounts fine and is solid as a rock. The mounts themselves don't sit flush on top of the bed rails at all, so if they did that might help with the swaying of the crossbars. I will do more testing tomorrow of some sorts.

    You gotta remember, with any fork mount, the bike will sway from side to side.

    You don't want it to be rigid, it's bad for the fork dropouts.

    I think I'm going with the extang solid fold. I had a bakflip on my 1st gen Tundra and loved it, but then I got the Tacoma and started using the trac system. Bakflip covers up all of that.

    Maybe but that would put the bars 14 to 15 inches above the bed, Kind of hard to reach to put things up there.

    Very good point. Are you able to at least position them far enough forward to open the rear panel, like a trunk, to get things in and out? With my Tupperware bins, and bar to keep them in place, that would be good enough for me 99% of the time.

    Any new news on these. Waiting to see if any changes or updates have been made. What is the word of how to fix the issue of the bars sagging in the middle? Any photos of how much sag there is? Really want to carry 4 bikes-130LBS with out sag or swaying. Use a Yakima front loader. I know skis or snowboards would not be an issue.
