Oh ya this thread is about trucks. Let's see. I put LEDs in my brake/running lights. Nice and bright. Maybe I won't get rear ended again.

 

I will say, of the hundreds, make that thousands, of rear-end accident claims I've handled, I have successful defended our insureds in two of them. But yes, generally speaking, the rear-ending car is at fault all the time.

 

Yeah, it would be silly for anyone to pay for their own damages when a vehicle with insurance is clearly at fault. Glad you're having the liable party's insurance handle it for you.

 

You mean Commifornia? There seem to be more states going towards No-Fault and it is a pain in the ass! There were two cars that hit... Someone is at fault. Its not just magical that they collided.

 

Sure am glad I don't handle claims in any of those no-fault States. That would drive me a bit batty.

VA is not a no-fault state. I handle claims in that state. It's a contributory negligence State. HUGE difference.

You are right. It's an actual "Fault" state. You don't even have to have insurance.....

 

VA is one of 5 states in the country that have contributory negligence standard. Contributory negligence means that if you are found to have even 1% of the negligence in an accident, you are barred from collecting from the other party. It's pretty harsh but in handling claims in VA, I do not go out of my way to try and pin 1% fault on someone just to avoid paying them. If I feel they truly did contribute fault, then I'm going to assign them a percentage but not 1%... that would be reaching and complete bs.

As far as not having insurance, every state has a percentage of deadbeats. VA has no more than any other state that I've handled claims in.

 

Put the Limited Grill on my Sport. SR grill was too dark. Love the way it Looks.

 

Hard to tell in the pic, is your truck black or MGM? Appears to be black... I think you can go either way, SR grill to match the paint, or SR5/Limited to match the bumper and fender flares. Me... ordered and SR grille to match the paint and do away with the chrome bezel.
